Andy's M8 Greyhound, I converted using 3d printed parts I measured up and hacked the body to make work. Key features:

Custom wheel hubs to adapt the Andy's wheels to the WPL axle
True 6x6 using WPL style parts for the axles and driveshaft
Dual motors, one motor for the front axle, one motor for the two rear axles
    Leaf suspension from WPL
Servo steering on custom bracket and motor mount
    Custom turret traverse gear
    Custom recoil unit
    Custom elevation unit
    IR emitter in mantlet

I presently have an old Clark TK22 in it and it's driveable. Just pending install of the skirts. In order to make it serviceable I have to come up with a way to make the skirts removable (I'll probably use magnets).
Tang, it looks great!!! Yes the kit is fragile. I don't use my RC vehicles as you in IR battles. I have a 3DP, but I haven't yet learned to use 3D CAD to make my own parts. I scratch build everything the old fashion way. I've used very similar parts as you've used in your build. Mine is a true 6 wheel drive as yours is and the others made by Carlos. I got bogged down with other things and I set my M8 build aside, but I'll begin working on it along with trying to finish my Tongde M24.

Thank you very much for sharing your work, I appreciate seeing how others decide to build/convert things into RC vehicles.

I just started my 1/16 Andy's HHQ M8 Greyhound RC Conversion in the RC Truck section. Check it out! Once again, Youtube is limiting the amount of videos I can upload in 24 hours. I've had a CommieTube account for more than 10 Years, and they want me to verify my account. I've tried to do it a couple of times, and I'm told they can't verify my ID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK David, you don't have to twist my arm, or give me a golden invitation!!!!!! LOLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Later today after I finish the yard work, I'll start an M8 Greyhound RC Conversion build thread. I don't like to have too many things going at the same time. But I have more than enough photos & videos to get the build up to where it is now. So, stay tuned in later and check out the beginning of the build!!!

Yes, after reading this, I remember you said Carlos is the one making the 3DP M8's. I'd like to see how Tang did his M8. Does Tang have a build thread here, or on another site?

Eventually, I'll share my M8 Greyhound build here. I have tons of photos & videos. I don't think it will have a control board. It will run using an ESC and the RC Transmiter/Receiver.

Are you the friend of David who 3DPed that M8? If so, you did a great job.

Here's an off topic question that I couldn't find an answer for, so I thought this would be a good thread to ask. I see many threads that have been liked. How is a thread given those likes??? I don't see a way to do it!!!

Yes, the kit is very fragile, but I'll be extra careful with it when I get it running not to crash into anything!!! It's great to have talented friends who can help us out, isn't it?

All the spikes make me think of the M4 Shermans that were used by the US Marines in the PTO during WW-II. They had nails welded all over the turrets and hatches to keep the Japs off of the tanks. I'm willing to bet quite a few were shish kabobbed on those nails!!!
