You could do what I did with the t90 and open it up, find a clear space by the battery box and cut out the wall, that way the battery connector can be fed into the actual hull and relieve any stress on the wires

I use LiPo's in my tanks. I also fly planes and have a lot of them and chargers. These are great but you need to change connectors.

I just purchased a Heng Long M41 Walker Bulldog from Amazon that was an upgraded version and comes with the 3800NiMH battery. The battery is a very tight fit to get in and out to recharge and requires some mashing and twisting of the wires to put it in. I am concerned about having to do this every time I charge the battery that it will eventually ruin the wires. Anyone else have this problem and if so did you find a fix for it?

When you look at parts that are made for other tanks you have to remember that the bulldog is not exactly to scale. It's really closer to 1/14th than it is to 1/16.

The tool box handles are the same as the Abrams so Schumo makes those in brass or Andy from Special Ops Models makes them in plastic. Then those handles are available as 3D prints on Cults. I mean what parts are you looking for? Stock ones or aftermarket? Battleground Models does a bunch of US detail parts for decent prices. https://www.battlegroundmodels.com/shop-1?Category=US

Matomart is good, and aliexpress has tons of parts as well. I really prefer matomart but if they don't have the part I need and aliexpress does then my options are limited so I go with AliExpress. Never had any real problems with them but I have read posts from guys who have had complaints. The best bet is always to shop around.

@skyowa did a fair amount of good RC tank stuff in a short time. I hope that he can work with Aros to have the membership restored.

Alpha, sorry about this slight diversion from your thread topic.

YEP, I am a borderline narcissist and at times been hypocritical. I happily admit that and have no shame in it. When I am, I apologize for it and move on.

Sadly your use of hateful name calling is clearly out of line and shows your lack of confidence and experience. Name calling is always the weapons of those with a weak position.

So maybe this forum is not for you. Disagreements are expected and fine, but hateful name calling because of a disagreement is not.

Reality check....you are on an open forum NO ONE REALLY CARES it's just that simple. Deal with your retail issues yourself and move on. Complaining about them with random people on some one else's forum thread solves nothing. If you absolutely needed to vent on this forum start a separate thread for your issues. That is just simple common curiosity.

Easy there boys and girls..... We all have our agreements and disagreements here and it ok to express them in a civil manner. Heck Keilua, others and I have had disagreements too, but we agree on more then we disagree. If you are going to participate in the free flow of the groups knowledge here you have to be open to folks both agreeing with you and disagreeing with you, leaving it at that and moving on to the next topic.

So before the moderators step in, let's everyone take a step back and a few deep breaths so we can get this thread back on topic.

Skyowa, you are posting offensive content against a group of very active, very knowledgeable people. Toucan is the #1 source of HL tanks here in the US and a very reputable distributor. If you were happy with Honeyjar so be it. If you are unhappy so be it. But please be respectful in your interactions here. I am sure you will have questions or need help in the future and the people you are disrespecting are the major players here. Good luck with your tanks.

Yes, I expect brand new Heng Long RC tank to be factory sealed. When an Amazon seller peddles "modified" Heng Long RC tank without detail description of what mod he did, how he did it and the improvement of the mod to the tank, I suspect he sells second handed merchandise with no factory warranty. You can help this seller by sharing the modification he did and how it improved your tank's driving quality. You also gave us the impression that you received a defective HL tank and need to return it. Sorry if I misread your post.

I expect significant discount on open boxed goods. Anyway, I advised against buying open boxed HL RC tank without a good discount and seller offered warranty.

I ended up buying one of these from Amazon, advertised as being modified/upgraded, including the turret revolving 360 degrees, and a 3800mah NiMH battery instead of the 1800mah, cost me a total of jackson after redeeming my stash of gift cards. Box arrived yesterday, everything worked perfectly except for the smoke generator, blower turns on, no smoke. Decided to go ahead and take the shell apart thinking might just be a loose wire, which it was wasn't, it's just dead, but it gave me a chance to look at everything else.

First thing I noticed, the "upgraded speaker appears to be the stock V7 speaker, not upgraded to anything, but I do know where I can get a speaker with the same form factor with a passive radiator that will yield a bit better sound if I want, the funniest thing was the turret ring described as "Slip Rings Handmade and installed", it's the factory ring, they just cut gears into the tab that acted as a stop, so now it revolves 360, unfortunately there's still a cable that does want to be twisted 360 degrees. Good thing I didn't just sit and spin, a had a feeling there was a cable involved. Other than that, it's a normal "upgrade edition" like MRC sells, metal tracks, drive wheel and transmission, just a slightly higher price. They also appear to have removed at least one link from each track, there is basically zero slack in the system, I have links and pins, no instructions on how to replace them , a paper clip won't drive them out apparently, open to suggestion there.

That being said, I went ahead and processed an exchange because of the non-functional smoke unit which will be here Wednesday, I do like the tank, won't be buying any more from that seller, but I do plan on getting the rest of the American models
