Does it run as fast as your Leopard (the one you brought to the LA Battle)?

That was Rich’s Leopard not mine.

The Centurion is about as fast as a Pershing. It’s not what I would call fast by any means. It has adequate speed for battle fields like San Diego or DAK and is plenty fast for city type battle fields like LA or AAF.

Decal sheet.

My 1/25th kit has these same decals. Looks to be able to mark up 1 of 4 tanks in the KW. I’ve seen pics of an old 1/25th kit instructions and it had markings options for several countries including the IDF.

Finished up the last major parts and gave the Centurion its first powered driving test (now on Instagram @ fsttanks). Below are the last two steps I will be coving from the manual as the rest of the work is personal detailing parts and custom add ons.

A small change at this step indicated by the tip of the screwdriver. I swapped out the supplied bushings for bearing. The bearing are the same size as used in the road wheels. This IMO made the mantle movement much smoother.

For me....Without having its tracks on, comparison doesn't look quite right yet :-) Looking forward to see it having it tracks on and posing next to your Merc for sizing up

I was asked to show a size comparison and just how big the Centurion is. Shown here next to my Tamiya Pershing and Abrams.

Note: The Centurion is far from finished in these photos and just now starting system check (the barrel is a temporary 105mm L7 and will be replaced shortly with a fully machined version). I videoed the systems check and it is on my Instagram @ fsttanks. Feel free to take a look.

There is only one paint scheme Tamiya shows. The Korean War theme shown on the box. It is the least used paint scheme in the Centurions very long service life. But I will take photos of the sheets for you an post it soon.

I’d bet that Tamiya decides to cash in on Centurion popularity by releasing an IDF tooling. I’d personally prefer that to my Korean War MkIII.

Tamiya will not but there are a few aftermarket shops that will.

This thread will be a summarized build, but a full field test review of the new Tamiya 1/16 Centurion.

I am not 100% set on a theme yet but leaning towards a late 1960s IDF Centurion or Vietnam era Australian Centurion.
