We was given a booth to promote our club and our hobby at the Vietnamese Veteran Music Festival yesterday. Over 500 people came. We chat with many veterans and heard great old stories. It was fun.

We will have our July battle picnic among players with their own tanks only this time. Please bring you big modern tanks to play and let your WWII tanks take a break this time. No loaner tank program at Huntington Beach this month.

Great video!! The only thing I would have made clear is the orientation of the IR bulbs vs the LED bulbs.

You set yours correct, but others may miss that subtly. An IR bulb should be facing forward towards the muzzle and the LEDs need be set to a X to the muzzle. The videos cover image above shows the incorrect orientation and could be misleading.

If "X" orientation is not followed the LegoDEI LEDs have a tendency to act like "shades" and deflect frontal shots at distance past 20 feet. It is important for fair play that the LEDs not deflect the frontal shots at any range.

The orientation problem has been popping up at the LA , SD and other battles.

The video is a little lengthy because I explain the board layout and the why rather than just go straight into it, for the benefit of the super noobs to learn along the way. I'll do one about emitters later I think.

In this group it's probably not any new information, but you can share it for your friends who want to get into it and do their own modding.

Hello all. My name is Tang. I made an account after some peer pressure.

For different cable arrangements I'd have to feel out the general demand as I have minimum quantity obligations. I'm exploiting my manufacturing connections overseas for the benefit of our hobby lol. So far this is my first experiment of bringing something to our hobby that I could see a need for. I've teamed up with Haojie to start offering them with LegoDEI Heng Long units so that people who just got their 7.0 tank will be able to join us sooner and with less effort. I have another couple of ideas in mind in the future if this proves worthwhile.

David, that looks cool! However, the HL 7.1 uses different board plugs, so they'll need to make either a version for that, or an adapter module. I'd go for the latter. Always something...

Our member Tang is producing the wire set for the LegoDEI receiver. Now our new members will be at ease in installing their receivers for battling with us.

And lastly.....About Toucan Hobby, we are thankful your donation of the new T34/85. It will be used for the new kids to battle with.

We brought in 6 brand new HL tanks. And they were all gone by the end of the event. And of course we cared for our new members; we wanted them to enjoy playing with us, so we sold the tanks to them the same prices that we bought :-)
