  • Challenger 2 track adjustment

    I recently bought a henglong 1/16 challenger 2 tank my left track is very slack I don't have the manual and I can't find anything on the net about adjustment of CHALLENGER tracks any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Steve NC

    You will have to remove the upper hull. At the front of the tank, you should see the track adjuster.

    This need adjusting in or out as required. Excuse the rust. This was during heavy maintenance, and repair. Click image for larger version

    You may also need to remove a track link as well.

      Ok I see it I try that I was already thinking about removing track links if I couldn't find anything thanks for your help

        How do you know if you have a bad track motor? I got a used 1/16 Abrams and it won't drive straight. The cheap controller doesn't have real trim switches. I adjusted the tension and no change.

          The Henglong controller has no trim adjustment. Your problem may be a pair of unmatched motors, a defective gearbox or misalignment of the gearbox. Many of the questions you have about Heng Long tank motors were discussed in this long thread where you can find some tip on trouble shooting.
          I have seen advice giveing in theese forums dont buy blue motors, should the question be what tank do you have? and whats right advice for that person, given that fact that you have a very recent tank that heng long dont suggests the red motors as a hop up they suggest blue motors in mine wich is the hop up i have done. Would

            G button and left stick left or right adjusts tank forward fine tuning.
