that way people can find your discussion, they won’t see it it here since this thread is for the 1/16 Jeep.

I have 2 JJRC RC military vehicles. Both are knockoff of very expensive RC from China. These JJRC are surprisingly cheap, but run very well both indoor and outdoor. All the JJRC upgrades are simple one-to-one drop in with metal parts. The only painting I did was the Jeep seat cushion. For a long time, I was debating whether it is worth a separate thread. 2 years ago, I used mostly WPL parts for the 6WD truck upgrade. This time, JJRC Jeep sellers have their own upgrade parts[

The first is the JJRC Q75 1/16 scale 6WD truck. In the pictures below, you can see my motor and metal drive shaft upgrade. The RC receiver was upgraded with one with higher current ESC. The metal gear steering servo is hidden. I also upgraded the battery to 2S18650 with high quality Li-Io protected cells. One necessary improvement is the tires. The tire rubber walls are too thin. They compress too much after the upgrades. I cut some 1" thick packing foam strips to stuff them inside the tire tubes to simulate compressed air effect. It works very well.

I recently acquired the JJRC Q8815 1/10 scale MB Jeep. It is waiting in my job q to be upgraded. The pictures below are shown with original parts. I will post additional pictures when the Jeep upgrade is done.

Some of the upgrade part for JJRC Q8815 1/10 scale MB Jeep should be here next week. I do not expect the upgrade to have major impact on the driving quality of the Jeep, but it should make the drive chain more durable. The weakest link of the Q8815 Jeep is its steering links made of filmsy plastic. I am not able to find metal replacement for the steering.

If you already have the JJRC Jeep or purchased one after reading this thread, please add your review.

Another JJRC C8835 Hummer 4WD RC just comes to the market in the last few days. I have one on order and it should be here in 7-10 days.

It is about the same physical size as the 1/10 scale MB Jeep. Most JJRC sellers call the Hummer a 1/16 scale RC. Using its model length, it is actually close to 1/14 scale. It is again a knockoff of the ROCHobby Hummer.

I will post a short review of this JJR C8835 4WD RC Hummer after it gets here. With the wider tires, it should drive better.

I have the JJRC Q8815 1/10 scale MB Jeep and can confirm it's a pretty good runner. It came with the winch, and M2 .50 cal gun mount and that silly cloth top that goes over the windshield. I have the upgrade steel springs, driveshaft and shocks waiting in my to do list. And it has foam in the tires. The body detail is good enough that I am using a second kit for donor parts on another Jeep project.

After driving it for a few weeks, I consider the JJRC C8815 1/10 scale MB Jeep a very good runner as is. In general, it uses much better quality components compared to the JJRC Q75 1/16 scale 6WD truck that I acquired 2 years ago. I upgraded the Jeep's drive shaft to metal because it is so cheap (<$10). I decided to leave the motor, gearbox and steering servo as is.

I also get the JJRC Jeep trailer for $15. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the trailer. Crisp mold lines, good details and heavy construction. This assembly is longer than any of the 1:16 scale tanks I have.

I would have preferred the Jeep to tow a M3 anti-tank gun. The only candidate is the ROCHobby 1:12 M3 gun. It costs twice that of the Jeep/trailer assembly. I will wait awhile to see if JJRC offer a M3 anti-tank gun.

JJRC C8835 Hummer arrived 2 days ago. Initial drive in the smooth basement floor shows it to have excellent proportional control in both acceleration and steering. It is not a fast running Hummer, but fast enough for me. I do not find any upgrade necessary. The chassis is almost identical to the C8815 Jeep. The physical length is the same. The Hummer has a half inch wider wheel base and larger tires. The tires are already foam filled, but a little softer than I prefer.

I do not like the proprietary battery pack which is a 2S Lithium-Ion. Judging from the case size and capacity spec, it probably uses 2 14450 cells. The proprietary battery connection and hard shell pack make it difficult to upgrade to better quality packs. I may have to remove the upper cabin to rewire the battery connections to XT-60.

The cabin has good molding quality. 4 operating doors and a rear hinge. Typical seats and steering wheel. The dashboard has very simple marking compared to the C8815 Jeep.

I will rate it a 5 for driving quality, 4 for external appearamce and 3 for electrical wiring. I paid $54 shipped to JJRC Toys Store at AliExpress and consider it excellent value.
