I had FLIGHT SIM X many years ago. It does help but looking through FPV goggles, I still get a bit nauseus. It was "interesting" but flying in a virtual cockpit and chasing another real RC plane in a virtual cockpit is quite different for me. I just have to practice more. Same goes for what is seen on a monitor (computer generated) at home is somewhat different than what we see through FPV goggles (video camera capture).

It takes a little getting used to in a fixed Wing plane it's a lot easier when I do it in my drone. One of the tricks I use with my drone or you can say skills is I don't fly straight I fly sideways. So if I pull up next to you in my drone I'm actually turned sideways and flying that way can't really do that with the plane LOL

Just going to take a little getting used to I'm used to doing chases with my drone and with that I can fly sideways and even backwards if I need to. I also have to learn to not jerk the sticks as strong. It's a little hard to find someone to fly with which is the major problem. I'm pretty good at chasing so I'm sure I'll get used to it with my X-Wing fighter as long as I have a subject to Chase

The DJI fpv drone may be old but it is faster than the X-Wing by a big margin. The most comparable in speed of course is the Arvada in manual. But I'm sure I don't have to remind you don't get used to the fact that you can fly sideways with the drones you can't do that with the X-Wing LOL and looking sideways is not quite the same as flying sideways not to mention you can come to a stop and avoid danger a lot easier with the drone. Anytime I was about to get into trouble chasing a plane or even a car for that matter I would always sell the person I'm chasing if you hear me say I'm bailing out it means I'm taking an extreme direction and punching it. Of course when I chase cars they don't hear me say anything LOL

All I have is the DJI Mini 2. Not really prepared to spend any more money on another drone that has limited use for me. Multcopters have never trully appealed to me. I use mine to inspect my gutters.
