I think that maybe that is where I messed up a year or so ago...I did not order correct material. I have a design with angular lines and placed an order. Design arrives with with multiple vinyl piece of different shapes and colours. So I guess I should have ordered decal material like we find on plastic model planes and have that printed with the design on one piece. I never did really cover it with her much, simply told here it would not work for me and threw it all out. It would take too much time and effort to trim and cut to fit all the pieces on the wings. Completely my fault.

Last night, I finished detailing my 1.1m Durafly Spitfire Mk Vb. I chose to model Don Blakeslee's 133rd Eagle Squadron plane. I used both the standard decal set and a Spitfire Nomenclature set. I'm very happy with how it turned out, and as a tribute to one of the great fighter leaders/commanders of the war. (Note, the photo of Blakeslee is while he was still flying in his RCAF squadron, before being transferred to command the 133 Eagle Squadron)

Hmmm, I did. For some reason, it seemed to be treating the Blakeslee photo differently than the plane photos. So, I deleted the Blakeslee photo. Can you see them now? if not, I'll delete than post and do another one.Originally posted by Grossman56 View PostI see the one of Don Blakeslee but nothing else. Yep, totally stock, except for the decals. This is my first Durafly warbird, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of the foam, construction, paint, and features. The stock decals, though, were horrible. I tried to use a few of the smaller Nomenclature decals, in addition to the Callie Nomenclature set, and the stock small decals were awful. Couldn't get them to adhere to the plane.Originally posted by Grossman56 View PostGood looking bird, is that stock paint?

Reports that I've heard on this plane is that it flies incredibly well, too. Can't wait to get it in the air. Come on decent weather...---
