    1. F-117 Nighthawk
    2. F-22 Raptor
    3. B-2 Spirt
    4. F-35 Lighting II

My bet is on the F-22 out of the four. I don't care much for the F-35A unless its the B variant with fully functioning VTOL capabilities.

Exactly. That’s why I’m hoping it’s one of my all time favorites, the F-22. If not, it’s all good as I’m sure it’s coming in time (just not too much time I hope LOL). I think the F-22 would be in a 90mm EDF class for more scale like features. The thing has to have main and nose gear doors at least. It’s not quite stealth looking with seeing landing gear out in the open. With the 80mm EDF class, those types of details don’t seem to be top priority, which is understandable.

I agree on the VTOL F-35 since that airframe doesn’t do a whole lot for me in the looks department, but would be impressive to see the Marine version in an EDF since it would be incredibly unique (although may be expensive, complex and face too many challenges for an RC VTOL model to make it worthwhile). I wouldn’t be that interested in a non VTOL version, but the Marine version may draw me in.

I would LOVE to see a F-117, SR-71, and B-2, but I’m not sure the manufacturers would decide to go for it in EPO because of the heat/sun issue. I’m still hoping though.

    • As much as I'd love an F22 or F35, wasn't one of the clues involving this plane never have been done in foam? I thought I heard this and the wind immediately left my sails for a stealth jet.

I thought that was one of the clues for the 64mm releases, not Foil.. An F-22 or 35 would be great choices!

LANXIANG RC has done the SR-71, B-2, and F-117 with retracs and a 64 mm F-117 as well.

Yes, but they weren’t exactly up to Freewing quality either. Every one of those models requires pretty extensive mods to fly and function well, and there is little to no parts support. However, it does show the potential that Freewing could make any of these aircraft, and build a much better machine.

              • I still say MiG 25 or 31
I couldnt find where either 1 has been done in foam, could be wrong though(probably am)

                • The Mig 25 was designed to "FOIL" the SR-71. It was known that the engines would be destroyed on the intercept. However, it still couldn't catch the SR-71, so in a sense, the SR-71 "FOILED" the Mig 25. If MotionRC releases a twin 80mm Mig-25 or SR-71, WOW! My bank account will be "FOILED."

                  • +1 on a 80mm F22. Can "Foil" everything ! Sure's there's smaller versions but not many in the 80-90 class.

I have two little L-39's. 50mm and 55mm- Meh. A larger L-39 would probably be easy to design and build though. The fuse and tail section is very similar to the A4. I think the Czech's ripped -off the design anyway. Of course, it's a straight wing trainer. so just change the wing and presto, you have a L-39.
                    Currently flying: Twin 80mm A-10, 80mm F5, 80mm A6, 70mm Yak-130, 70mm F-16v2,90mm Stinger 90, 70mmRC Lander F9F, Flightline F7F TigerCat, Phoenix 46 size Tucano, Flyzone L-39
                    Out of Service: 80mm Mig-21,64mm F-35, 64mm F/A-18
                    I Want: 80mm A-4, twin 80mm F4J Phantom

If they did do a Mig-25 I can't imagine it being smaller than a twin 90mm to not only keep it scale but to do it right. The engines on the Mig-25 are huge!

                        • It's not a Blackbird, sadly. Until black paint plays well with EPO foam, it's out of the question for us. And it's not a Foxbat, either, although that would be fun!

I recognize that this guessing game can be fun for some (such as those who asked for it) and not fun for others as time goes on. As I often say, our production calendar is always full and stretches years, so amid all the speculative fun don't get too hung up on waiting out any single Project. I must remind myself that this hobby we all love won't be reinvigorated by any single golden model or any rapid fire procession of a specific series. Rather, it will be reinvigorated only by each of us sharing the joy of flight with those around us, one new pilot at a time. So dust off that F-14, or click Buy on that FW Hawk or LX Blackbird or FMS Hornet, and go wow some new stranger at the local flying field.

And remember, the more we fly, the more we cra---I mean make space in the garage.
