I love this model! It has a great presence in the air and I love doing touch and go with all the time.Using a 7000mah pack I get 5 minutes of flight time. It does tend to oscillate a bit when it's windy and I do have a gyro on her to help with that. The only thing I'm not a fan of having to connect the wires on the wing.

                            Looking Great, SIr.

I had a great mentor in my life and he would tell me, "Son, there's never time to do it right, but there's always time to do it again."

Doesn't totally apply to your situation, but I do know what you mean.

I still have not flown this model but did find a way to get it one step closer! Initially, hanging it from the wall made sense, especially with the 12-ft ceiling. However, over time it started to get in the way, and I wanted to find a different way to display and handle it.

My first plan was to use just a sheet of plexiglass with some eyebolts along with a bike lift to suspend it horizontally. It might have worked but I didn't want to spend the money it would take to get a thick enough piece to prevent bending and then figuring out how to attach the eyebolts to it without causing damage, initially or long term.

Eventually I decided to build a lightweight frame out of 1 x 3's and splice plates that was wider at the ends, so the eyebolts are attached to it and the plexiglass remains intact and removable since it's just sitting on rubber strips to protect it from the screws and plates.

When I need to access it I just lower it to a table underneath and disconnect the carabiners. I can also easily change the aircraft orientation to see the other decals since both sides are different. Future enhancements could include rigging power to run the lights and supports to allow for gear retraction.

This may not be the perfect solution, but it works for me! I saved all the information on the materials used if anyone has any interest in duplicating.

Both solutions are clever and functional.

After 35 years flying the real one I had to retire, but they didn't say I couldn't fly the little one.
