6S 6000mAh is way too big and heavy of a pack to use on the Gripen, at least without some serious tail ballast to make up for the balance.
Try the 4000mAh pack first and see if that gets you off the ground. Chances are, you are trying to take off with a jet even more nose heavy than the already ridiculously nose heavy factory recommendation. I mean, most people here are flying 25-30mm behind the marks. Some of us go even further back to 40mm (hard to achieve). If you are AHEAD of the CG marks, then I'd dare say it's a good thing that your jet never lifted off the ground. That flight wouldn't have been pretty.

Sorry for the incorrect info, it came with upgraded 3658-2150KvOriginally posted by Evan D View Post2100kV is a 70mm EDF motor... There is no way to get a good balance with a 6000mAh battery. A lot of delta's rock. Especially if it's windy for some reason. Yes, high gains cause oscillations.

Thanks guys, will try out a 4000mah battery next. Also I didn't had any gyro turned on the day wasn't that windy. Will retry it thank you

Oscillations due to gain being too high are usually very fast. "Rocking" due to delta aerodynamics are generally much slower. It's pretty easy to to tell the difference. I found the Gripen to be particularly susceptible to rocking. I don't remember how I cured it since it was 3 years ago, but I think a HobbyEagle gyro with fairly high yaw gains did the trick.Originally posted by Evan D View PostA lot of delta's rock. Rocking is mainly caused by to high of a gyro rates. A delta winged jet is sensetive to gyro corrections making is wabble

It would help if you told us your setup (receiver, gyro, etc.)Originally posted by muzamilabbasi View PostI just flew the Grippen, I had a 6s 6000mah pack, had a hard time taking off and felt loss of power even on full throttle. Now this model is running 2100kv motor, I also noticed the wing was rocking and noticed that when you open gear door it flies better. Has anyone. experienced anything similar?
Thanks

What is the trick to removing a canard servo? Seems the servo lead is stuck, likely got glued to something.

Both the kits I bought this year came with big yellow notices saying the warranty is only good for 30 days. So it's best not to dilly-dally in checking everything.Originally posted by Evan D View PostYou have a warranty, have Motion send you a replacement, whether a wheel or assembly.

Just started on my Grippen and discovered one of the nose wheel tires is out of round, checked the site for spare parts and the only nose wheels are part of a nose gear set, no separate wheels.
Does anyone know of a suitable replacement for the stock nose wheel assemblies?

Oh, OK. I thought you meant you'd found them for sale on the Gripen spare parts list somewhere.Originally posted by Tipstalled10 View Post
They are located deep in the recess of where it popped out. there is a plastic piece with a hole for the nub. Took me using a dental pick to find it ! The nubs I created with toothpicks were actually too long, once I shortened them and knew where they went they popped right in. Gear doors fixed. Did not cancel the order for the gear doors, old adage, if you have the spare parts on hand you'll never need them. It's the ones you don't have that you need!
