Anyone thought of putting a down mix on low throttle activation via flap switch

I haven't needed to use down elevator with full throttle. Is there something in your exhaust? That can tend to do this...

Can you explain what you mean? Down what? Flip the flaps and it reduces throttle?? Down elevator with flaps? But why throttle too?

Scale Master, I found a video of the F16 conversion that was in RC Jet. I had the HSD F16 with a ACE60 turbine and while it flew OK, it was heavy and a bit under-powered, so I think that your conversion will be the best way to go, for a foam F16.

Yeah I would agree, as the FW F-16 is about 10lbs when you have the jet set up on a 8S 5000mAh packs so this bird will be a little bit better than 1:1!

Decided to go with the X-45 instead of the heavier gas guzzling K-45

Scale Master, great conversion! There are a few FW F16's now flying on a micro turbine, and the X45 is the most perfect choice. The latest issue of RC Jet International has a very detailed conversion of this jet to K30 power and it flys great. This video shows just one of them out there.

Here are some pics of TWO Freewing Turbine Conversion T-birds I'm building

First set of pics show a 2.5" pipe

2 Tanks (24oz + 11oz internal taxi/smoke tank)

UAT = 2oz

JP 55mm Wheels and brakes.

All for a k-45 turbine (my calculation show the jet will easily have 5-6 min flight time at mostly full power (Total fuel on board = 39oz)

Freewing F-16 performs best on 8S full throttle the whole time..... no bad characteristics … the jets geometry and this wings demand more airflow for be true performance!

There are 6s set ups that work really well too. 8s does work well but is not the only way to do it.

Great, glad your liking the F-16, great flyer too, been flying the F-16 for three yrs now, I find the sweet spot on CG around 118mm, I put the new FW 4068-1835kv in mine, it is better than my 4068-1680kv on flight times, performance wise just little more thrust.

It's pretty nice, going to a 7 cell 70C TP lipo setup as I have access to tons of those lipos from UAV missions.

I believe you mean nose heavy if it's landing hot... That forward of a cg would cause that.

No tail heavy. You must keep the speed up when so as it goes high alpha when tail heavy
