    • On the big VC PC-6...
Here’s a picture of the cheap nylon bellcranks and tailwheel that come with the kit.

The metal replacement parts were all either existing things modified by me or fabricated new.

      • Main gear also had plastic mount parts.
Tossed those and used two pieces of aluminum angle to mount the gear.
        Tires are 6” Dubro inflatables
Lands like it’s riding on pillows, prefers grass
I added a reinforcement doubler to the upper main gear shock mount as this seemed weak to me.
Fiberglassed the entire nose inside as I expected the torque from the 9 horse motor would twist the firewall off its mount.

        • It’s a nice flying airplane in spite of the added two plus pounds of upgrades I did. Very light on the controls and with loads of power to spare.
The 6” inch main tires look right at home and the gear upgrades make takeoffs n landing this 24 pound bird a snap.
I hope to add some Skydiving Barbie’s in the future when time permits.

            • Adding a little toy to the hangar. Powerup Dart RC system for paper airplanes.

Interestingly enough, the control app won't let you operate the plane, until you've gone through the tutorials. You can buy a decent size RC airplane and fly it with no previous experience and no required tutorial, but the maker of a paper-airplane power system wants to make sure users actually know what they're doing before launch.

Nice flight CZ Flyer. Well executed take-off and landing. Are you using a little up elevator on takeoff to keep the nose from grinding the prop? I very rarely use any flaps on take-off and it still gets off the ground nice, how bout you? Horizon does seem to discontinue a lot of planes, especially the ones I seem to get. 7 of my planes that I have purchased from them in the last 2-3 years have been discontinued, meaning I generally have to stock up on spare parts. On 4 occasions, I've picked up a "new in the box" 2nd for great prices in addition to the spare parts (if I keep spending on planes, I may have to open up a "garage sale" hobby shop or move under the expressway). One of my favorite planes is the Beast 60E and was able to get another just after they discontinued it (still in the box waiting for a terminal flight on the 1st). Just got an Extreme Flight 60" Slick, blue & yellow, so for a bit I'll be assembling that plane. It's a real looker and the quality of the frame and finish is outstanding. Can't wait to get it in the air.

                              • My 6 blade older version is over 100 mph level. I guess the sound is better, but 90-100 is OK for me. It flies great. Just fly it like a jet. Wide turns, elevator set, throttle for approach descent... Standard stuff. Don't yank and bank it.....
