hahaha, I wish it would follow the geese! It never fails though I get a plane or parts for one the rain, or snow, or wind, sometimes all 3 has to show up! Its cool this time I plan on taking my time on both of my new planes I have not had this many issues with planes in a long time.

I got my Mustang back together last night; rushed home after work today all excited to fly her, walk in the house to my wife in tears. She was cleaning the house and knocked my plane off the counter breaking a propeller blade and snapping the horizontal stabilizer in 2. She was so upset that I could not be upset I felt bad that she felt bad. I will be ordering some parts tonight hope to get them before Friday, as I am going to California and would love to take her with me.

HaHa the wife is definitely going, I would like to take the mustang. I am thinking about just using some BBQ skewers and foam safe CA to quick fix the stabilizer, and I have some prop blades that are flyable so I may just do that if I cant get the parts in time. I may just do that so I can fly my Snoot's tomorrow if the weather holds.

Wow, I am impressed. Your wives let you guys use her space to build your models! I feel for you Sean. I was building a corsair once on the kitchen table, and I walked by it to close, my long sleeve shirt caught the wing and I pulled it off the table. My wife was really mad because the plane damage the floor. I got kicked out to the garage. A real blessing really. Now I can make as much noise as I want in the middle of the night, including turning up my stereo. I turned it into a true model makers dream room. I even got heating and air conditioning. I hung a sign on the door that says MAN CAVE :P Now my wife has no room to talk, lol, I just made a funny, or is that pun. Anyways just thought I would throw in my 2 cents worth. Maybe this will inspire the men to get there own rooms where the only accident that happens is you. HA, Another funny and happy flying from the Pacific NW :cool:

How do you manage to get all the of those birds in your vehicle? Looks nice waiting to fly. If you get all three out you would sucking up a bunch of batteries there!!! Is that an old gravel road you're on?

LOL!!! I didn't! Our little club/group is about 8 of us. The groups name is Three Sheets (of foam) To The Wind. Well, it was funny when we made it up at least... LOL! So anyways, the P-51 is mine, the FW190 is my friend Shanes, and the Corsair is my friend Marks. Mark has to be careful as they don't make that plane any longer meaning no parts. :-( Anyways, I just had my Pandora and the P-51 with me. And yep, a gravel road! This was a new field we were trying out which is a fire station training grounds and fairgrounds. Not much of it was flat! But it was flyable and best yet, we had permission. :-)

Excuse the shakiness.... I should have made this vid before and not after flying the Mustang. LOL!

I understand the shakes my first few flights of the year feel kinda like when I first started flying. I like the club name its kinda catchey.

Still waiting for the "perfect" weather to fly my Mustang. I keep it in its roof sling in the garage now high enough to where no one can mess with it LOL!!! I want to get it out so bad but between funerals, high winds, and dance competitions, I cant get to my flying areas. I am happy I have my 800mm plane it can go anywhere and fly from where ever, but not the same as my big wing planes.

I have yet to fly my Mustang since the mishap with the "C" clip falling off, in preporation for flying her this weekend I was checking things out, going over flight surfaces checking screws normal prefilght. I have an issue; my left flap deploys almost 1/2 inch further than the right. The control horns on the servos are in the same position with flaps up, but when they go down the left one travels further than the right one. Has anyone had this issue? If so how did you fix it? also I lost my manual and forgot where the CG should be I think it is 110mm from leading edge, with my battery all the way forward on the tray my CG is about 120mm. She is tail heavy @ 110mm.

Was going through some old photo albums found these pics of me at the reno air races hanging out with the Dago Red P-51B Mustang race team back in the 80s :cool: ! I think my Snoot's is going to get a makeover! :D

Hi Sean! You were a cute kid when you were little and how cool is it you got to see and touch those planes!

I looked in my manual and the CG is 110mm from the leading edge where the wing meets the fuselage. I also saw somewhere that it should be tested with the wheels up because that is how you will be flying. Apparently with the wheels down it shifts the CG forward a bit.

The flaps.... Gosh, can't think what that would be besides the obvious thing like the links on both sides being in the same holes in the 4 control horns. I have a little slop in mine so I push up like the air would if it was in the air to take the slop out and then check but beyond those two things I am clueless.
