Seems like the 4500mah pack is a good pack for proper cg pushed all the way forward to the firewall

The ones that gave me the most trouble were B1, B2 and R. B1 and B2, you have to remove the retract to get at, but worth it for piece of mind.
D1 and D2 are the ones that actually hold the gear to the retract so pay attention to those as well.

I had a lot of problems with ground authority on takeoff and landing. It was a bear to take off without it all of a sudden taking a 90 degree turn, usually left. I tried everything from slowly throttling up and full up elevator but it didn't help much. This plane is very sensitive to cross winds especially taking off. I adjusted the landing gear to give her a slight toe in and that made all the difference on ground handling. Taking off is much easier.

I just bent the nose on mine.....literally
Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_4047.JPG Views:	0 Size:	129.7 KB ID:	265384 but seriously, I have had airplanes with a serious pull due to the P factor from the prop. The Pitts comes to mind. I just shimmed the motor to the left with SMALL shims and it helped a lot. It corrects it to the point of manageability. With this airplane, takeoff flaps are a good idea as well. As I stated before, this ain't no FMS bird!! You have to handle her like the princess she thinks she is. I get her rolling, correct the direction and then get the tail up asap and let the stab and rudder do their job. Same thing with landing, hold her off as much as possible, much like the 1600 mm Spitfire. In the air, with the 650kv, she's great!!
If the danged wind will hold off, I'm taking mine out tomorrow along with the Pitts. Just call me a glutton for punishment

I've heard that before somewhere. But yeah I was thinking this thing swinging a monster 16x10 prop might be alittle problem when getting the power up for takeoff.

If it isn't one thing its another. The clevis that attaches to the tail wheel decided to shear off on takeoff, resulting in some damage, mostly cosmetic. Another winter project.

These are the batteries, and I I have them butted up against the firewall for best CG. I'm probably going to buy me another set, the only down side is they come with the Dean's T connection vs XT60. Otherwise excellent pack for this application.

I would do a pic, but the planes are already put away for the day. I may dig it back out in a bit.

Try the top link, I put 2 up for some reason the bottom one kept coming up unless I added the second one.

Super awesome info and yes, I own a couple of this packs for a smaller plane and they are great . Can’t thank you enough. So, Are you flying without any sound system, right? You flying with the four blade prop or two blade prop set up?
                                        cheers and Shoot straight!
