    • Just got a used one and the CG range of 4.9 - 5.4" seems way nose heavy with a 6S5000 in the center of the tray. Also going by the illustration just past the line on the wing would be about 3.5". Can someone help out here. Thanks Click image for larger version

I used to have this plane and you don't go by the lines in the picture. That's purely an illustration. Go by the numbers. 124mm - 137mm is what you go by. I usually split the difference (~130mm) for the first flight and adjust as necessary.

        • Mine flys well with HRB 5000. Level at front of tray. Meaning not overhanging notbehind at the front

          • Thanks. With my HRB 6s5000 placed even with the front of the tray, the nose goes straight down. I have plane inverted on balancer and have tried with gear up and down. I will give it a try.

            • Better nose heavy 🪨 to start come back from that...

The thing weighs nothing. It's fast and manuerabal

It arrived safely and although he is not an RC guy, I sent him directions how to put it together for display in his home. He just sent me this photo of it on a glass table top. I had well over 100 flights on it when I decided to sell it, dating back to 2020. All the equipment is still in the plane, and although the new owner won't fly it, it could easily be taken outside, put in a battery, bind it to a transmitter, and you could fly it again and again.

This model is dedicated to the memory of Col. TJJ "Jack" Christian, Jr., killed in action while leading a dive bombing attack on a German-held railway terminus in northern France on August 12, 1944 while flying his airplane LOU IV..

                  Cheers
