I have seen this plane fly on a 35 and 55 with cuts to the cowl , obviously the 55 requires more cuts. I have the smaller one flying and painted and the larger one new in box waiting for assembly . I am going electric with a power system equal; to gas 35 cc. I have dealt with this brand long before Motion was ever involved.
I have had great luck with the brand VQ and the models fly great .

Ordering as soon as they are back in stock. Will a 30CC twin fit in the cowl? And is that enough engine?

I'm not home now or I would show you the baffles I bought from keleo the glue into the cowl and should be positioned about midway on the cylinders of the radial

Thanks, Matt. Sounds like if I go this route, skip the Keleo ring and stick with the stock exhaust tubes? Or should the Keleo ring fit without cowl mods as well?

Also, I've never used a baffle... this would be my first radial. Do you have a photo to demonstrate the placement of the baffles?

I couldn't find dimensions, so figured I'd post the question here...

    Thanks!
Did you ever get an answer? I just ordered mine 2 days ago and am deciding between the FG30r3, the FG60r3, or a UMS 55 5 cylinder. I'm definitely putting a radial in her, but need to know the inside dimensions of the cowling to make sure whichever i choose will fit inside completely, minus the exhaust exit of course.

PSA - Use a pin or screw or something in addition to the magnets holding your hatch. It's not fun to watch the hatch float down and land in a bean field that seems endless!
    Hey I_Fly!

Thanks for the tip on the screw. I'll definitely take your advice. If you don't mind me asking, are the required servos mini's or micros? I know the instructions call for mini's, but the photos I've seen with servos looks like the guys are using micro's.

What is the correct choice on this one?

I read that the point of CG is 6 1/4 " back from the L/E This about the center of the wing tube . When i pick up the Plane at this point it falls over it's nose quick . I bought this plane at the Perry swap meet and it has a G-26 Zenoah motor on it . Is there anyone balancing their plane at a different location ? There's some lead weights in the nose and if i can remove some of it it would help some of the weight problem Weighs 18 Lbs

Alright, got the 50 caliber guns and antenna mounted. The supplied guns were ok for the twin 30s but decided to make my own 50s.

I haven't done anything with the gear doors yet but I did fill in the gear attachment slots with some balsa and some covering to make it a little less noticeable.
