Completely understandable, although my wife would beg to differ if I said I 'had' to get another airplane. I cheated last time when My Little Gal I piled up, its not a new plane its major repair work!! New, prop, new spinner and base plate, new fuse, new wings new vertical stab, new receiver, new gyro....... I did use the original horizontal stab though, so its a project, not a new plane, right??
    Yeah, it's a project!

Yep, Flite Metal and I used some Oracal chrome film that WVrailfan sent me for around the canopy and a few other feature places on her.

Wow Gman that looks marvelous. How much weight did that add.

Nice I always wanted to try it but never got to it. Spent yesterday in the shop and made some progress on the Avenger ( pictures later today), along with fooling with the Freewing F-15 I picked up .

Well, it weighs 0.022222 oz/square inch so not a lot really. Definitely less than the sound system which this one doesn't have.

Feel like I needed to update the thread. I haven't fell off the face of the planet but the Texas heat 100+ degrees has really limited my time in the shop. Even with the AC running out there it's just killing me. Guess my age is catching up with me. Monsoon season is just around the corner and I'll be back at it.

I feel very lucky. My shop is in the basement. It never gets above 70 down there. And it's dry.

No rush on the model, Mike. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Nice. My winters here are great out in the shop but the weather so awesome that flying take precedence. Can't catch a break.

I'm back on the Avenger build after a year. In Nov 2016 I fell off a ladder fractured my heal took 3 months to mend. Started back into the shop in March 2017 to start on the Avenger again. Freewing drops the A-10 bomb and of course I needed one and the grey scheme didn't work for me. So 3 months of Euro Camo makeover. Done and I'm happy with the results. Last week I pulled the Avenger back on to the bench and began again. Pictures to follow later this week..

Great to hear that your doing so well Mike!!

That Avenger will be so cool. I'd like to see something like that on the FlightLine list.

Love the idea of the North Atlantic livery. I did my F4F in that livery, and just recently a friend of mine did his B-24 in it as well. I did have a little trouble seeing it on cloudy days though hahah. Guess thats why they chose it for the Atlantic.

I'm thinking the same when I pick up a B-24.

ID:	112720 Back to work. Got the rear formers and stringers in. I've got to put a deck in for the rear gunner position but it looks like it's ready to sheet.
