If I ever decide to repaint my Flyzone Sensei, I'm going with this scheme. The Sensei isn't an actual model of the Cessna 150, but it would still look good in that pattern.Originally posted by t33jetman View Post

Hey fellow pilots,
A short while ago I made comment regarding t33jetman's livery and the reason being because I decided to add this airframe to my fleet rebuild.
The main reason for the acquisition is because of the almost :wacky price that Tower is selling it at on their Cyber Week Deals.
The BNF airframe which includes the AR636 ($400) plus the Carbon Z Float Set ($80) and mount set ($13) for a total value of $493 for only $350:Dizzy:
So if you've jonesing for this bird...........Go get some:Smug:
Tower Hobbies carries an expansive collection of RC cars, RC airplanes, RC boats, model trains, sot cars, and supplies for all hobbyists.
Sorry Marc/Tom.......luv you guys but this one was the :Bomb:Warbird Charlie

The real 150 had a flaps setting of 40 degrees maximum - more than the later 152. I had my flaps set to this on the three position switch on the DX8 - so position 0 was 0 degrees - pos. 1 was ~20 degrees, and pos. 3 was 40 degrees.Performance was very scale - landed at a very slow speed with a lot of elevator authority still left - easy to make landings where you can sit there and hold the nose up until the last minute....Great for soft fields - it's just like the REAL thing, I swear!Originally posted by Air Florida View PostJust finished putting together my Cessna … can anyone tell me what the recommended flap settings are with any elevator down trim??
Thanks,
Rick
She will balloon slightly with flaps - especially if you let them down quickly. I had mine set on a 3 or 4 second deployment...You could add a mix stating the elevator move down maybe 5% when flaps are full.... The AS3X really helps this one out.
If you ever get adventurous...Be careful when doing a tail slide - the canopy has come off on me on multiple occasions due to air rushing over the door and popping it free....
Nose gear will loosen after a dozen landings or so - requires light disassembly to tighten - no biggie.
Wheels will be NOISY - so don't be shocked.
Very nice model overall :)

That's the sound of the pilot engaging the Taco Bell fueled JATO!Originally posted by icepirate3 View PostIf the noise is too much just take the wheel pants off. Makes a huge difference, even with the stock tires. You will still get a "Farting" sound as soon as you rotate though. Gives it character :) and I think it looks better without them.

I have been flying mine now for 2 years. I never take the floats off the 150. Flies much better off the water and snow with the floats on it Here is a current photo and video of mine. Just after the blizzard here in Rapid City SD last week end 15" of snow

Out here in Class D Airspace ( Go for it country ) We have many places to fly. Some, not all of the small airports will let us fly our birds from the runways. Just a few blocks from my house I fly from a middle school play ground that covers almost three City blocks. I have even flown for the teachers of the school after getting permission to fly, they requested me to fly for their students.Originally posted by Alpha View PostSnow ops... One thing I do on the floats is to cover the bottom with 3M clear packing tape.. That way they slide better and the tape protects the foam. The 150 is one of many I never take the Floats off of year round, The others are the Mini Timber, Maul, Regular Timber, Turbo Timber, E-1500 Twin Cargo, and the S2 cub. all are my designated Floats planes. Here is the E-1500 with a Go Pro mount on top. I also fly it FPV

There is nothing special you will need to do. With my Go Pro Hero 7 white I installed one of the mounting bases that came with the camera, there was one flat mount and one curved mount with sticky tape on the base. on smaller planes like the E-Flite PT-17 I just Vecro it to the top of the Wing.On my e-Flight Piper Cherokee I cut a hole in the Canopy hatch and mounted it inside Here are a couple photo's. PS I just picked up another go pro hero 7 white and plan on mounting one under each wing of my CZ Cessna 150 pointing them back at the fuse these photo's should give you a few idea's. there is no limit with a good Imagination, Have fun

No Glue just mounted the base with the double sided adhesive tape that is already on the base I got with the Go Pro. On the PT-17 I removed the paint under the velcro I stuck to the Top wing. The base on the 150 and camera mount added I can lift the plane off the ground I guess for a little added security you could add some glueOriginally posted by RCRT2018 View PostWild Man did you attach the base with just the adhesive tape that came with it or did you also add some glue? Thanks for the pics
