  • I see online talk about a gap in front between the lower an upper hull. Have you seen this?
The more screws it takes to reassemble a tank, the more likely it is you left something out!

    • Mine was a tiny bit not flush, but it was level on both sides. There's no screws or anything toward that area to help tighten it up. It's nothing I'd lose sleep over but some people really dislike it so I leave it to the court of public opinion. I've been busy so I haven't really done anything with it, I drove it out of the box for a few hours without the details put on and now I've attached the little accessories. I'll get around to painting it at some point. But all in all, I'd say it's another home run for Coolbank.

      • I like the Crusader - but the tracks look rather slender and there doesn’t seem to be a metal track option yet?

        • Dunno about scale but the nylon tracks hold up nicely, just like on their stuart. I already drove it pretty hard on dirt and concrete, doing drifts on hard surfaces. It's good enough quality for me.

I just finished this and got it battle ready but haven’t finished the camo paint yet.

The good part about Rich having an M113 there is already a bunch of work being done to develop accessories 😉😉.

                      • In case some of you missed this. HAYA is coming out with their version on the old Tamiya "Flak Panzer" Gepard. The HAYA though is full modernized with todays excepted feature and reliability.

Haya is boosting that the quality of their new Gepard far exceeds the old Tamiya Gepard.

Having had the old Tamiya Gerard's I can say based on the videos it absolutely is superior at least in the mechanical and electrical aspects. The old Tamiya Gepard/Leopard tank are garbage by today's standards. Keep in mind they were late 70s RC technology. Can't speak to the modeling aspect as I would need one in my hands to compare. But this too based on other HAYA products I am willing to bet is at least on par or better.

                            • I have a Tamiya gepard still.in the box that I was going to build. I was going to do the full modernization I have done to my Tamiya eloaped @ tanks but now I'm thinking of buying this one.
Im told by my source that Haya intends to produce leopard 1 tank as well. When ,they didn't know.

                              • DKLMRC posted a video of the Haya. Looks like time to sell the old Tamiya. I’m sure there are T-buffs who’d still want it.

                                • I placed my order for the HAYA LTD Gepard. Delivery is expected towards the end of September, beginning of October. At £700 with all the functions, it is not cheap. However it is cheaper than modernising a Tamiya Gepard. There is an indication that Andrew, will produce a Leopard 1, with both the cast turret, and welded turret.

                                  • Funny how I told Tongde they should make a leopard 1 and 3 different turrets and they told me no.

                                    • Motion RC is advertising the three Coolbank tanks; M5 Stuart, M8 Scott and Crusader Mk III. This is good news for those who distrust ordering from China, or not wanting to wrestle with tariff complications. Prices are reasonable. I bet this is good news for Coolbank, as it greatly expands their market. Maybe now we'll see that Matilda II he was teasing us with earlier.

                                      • Coolbank is teasing another tank on FB by posting a CAD rendering:

The post lists a "second half of 2026" release date.

                                        • A little more info on the Matilda. Look at the lower right of this photo. It's from this November's Hangzhou HEC trade fair in China. No details. If past actions are an indication, it's probably a 3D Printed prototype. Maybe Coolbank will post details after the show.
