"CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT:
For 2024 we will renaming our club to SOCAL RC TANK CLUB. Our base of operations remains largely in Orange County but we would like to expand the scope of what we do to encompass Southern California and grow from there. We are a group comprised of RC enthusiasts from many locations and walks of life but gather in socal to play and share interests. All events are done with our own resources so everything that the community contributes makes this better as a whole. We aim to show people our hobby and gather them to do something fun and positive and get people out of the house.
We will continue to have monthly battles scheduled for a day on the 4th weekend of every month. Announcement of dates and locations is done 2-3 weeks in advance. Our monthly battles are for club members and people who own their own RC tanks that are set up for our battle standard. These events will be at varying locations and run from 10am-3pm or as the venue permits. Setup and cleanup is done by our dedicated core members and we appreciate anything you can do to chip in, whether it's clean up or other ways.
A few times a year during our scheduled monthly event will be RC tank battles that we will bring extra tanks for people to sign up and try out, in hopes of attracting new members to our community. These will be classified as EXHIBITION BATTLES in my future postings. Exhibition battles will run 10am-3pm or as the venue permits, with the first 2 hours dedicated to play time for guests. The guests will be trained and supervised by a cadre stood up of members of our club.
We will appear in selective local community events and run extra exhibition battles throughout the year as permitted by the venues and our own personal schedules."
