The IR emitter can shoot up to 150 feet and the receiver can take hits better as well.Originally posted by Scott Larkins View PostThat new tank offer is super sweet. I'm getter a Sherman for father's day. Already have the Pershing and Bull dog. Absolutely love the Pershing. Wish we had a group in MI with this kind of enthusiasm. But sadly, we don't have a club, to my knowledge. Since I don't live in SoCal, can I ask the advantages to the two IR additions? In case I want to upgrade my tanks.

I watch the videos that the German clubs post of them parading their tanks around. They are enjoyable to watch, but as a IR Battler from the US, I cannot fathom that you guys don't battle. In my mind I am rooting for someone in the video to "take a shot at the lead tank " just to create some chaos that would be exciting to say the least if everyone was one board with dueling it out. LOL Almost like the beginning of a rugby match or musical chairs LOLOriginally posted by Rob59 View Post.
That IR battling is typical a US and Canadian thing.
Overhere in Europe it is very rare.
I am a member at a well known German RC Tank forum and on a Brittish one too, cannot recall reading something about this on both forums.
In Germany there are several huge tank fields with ponds, boats, villages and so, on which battling never occurs.

Note from Planes of Fame Museum for this weekend event:
David,
Thank you and your Club for once again supporting Planes of Fame and our "Wings, Tracks, and Wheels" event. Your Club adds an incredible dimension to the event and is always the most popular activity.
Here's the instructions for Load-In:
The Hangar will be cleared of its one aircraft early on Friday afternoon (May 1). You may load in anytime after 2:00pm on Friday. Or, you can choose to load-in Saturday (May 2) morning. Hours for load-in for Saturday run from 7:30am until 8:45am. All vehicles must be cleared from the Museum campus by 8:45am.
Your team will need to park in the Public Parking Area located at the corner of Merrill Avenue and Stearman Drive. This area will be clearly marked and is a short walk back to the Museum.
The Hangar Doors will remain open during the event and in the evening, they will be closed and the Hangar secured so you can leave everything overnight safely.
Load-Out:
You may begin to break everything down as soon as the event ends at 5:00pm. We are not allowing vehicles into the Museum until 5:30pm - this is to give our guests time to depart.

Since our program is an exhibition, volunteers are allowed to bring their non IR battle soft skin vehicles or light tanks to drive inside the battlefield. This will bring more thrill to our spectators and excitement to the battle. Therefore, trucks, jeeps, kubelwagons, Sd 251, M5, M16, M8 (both tank & armor car), or beetles are all welcome. And for those members who know that you cannot help much in our program, you can bring your unique tank and drive around the museum compound to attract people. Then you tell them to come to our hangar, heheh. Thx!
