As a reminder, this Sunday tank battle event will include 2 celebrations: 1. Independent Day, 2. Hugo's retirement. The Club will order and pay for each member a Vietnamese sandwich from "Saigon Bakery". It is about 5 minute walk from the park. Attached is the menu. Please browse through it and inform us your pick by 11:30AM that day. I think this is last year's menu. It is maybe a dollar more now. Thank you!

I am converting the IR receiver connections on all of my Torro tanks into LegoDEI IR battle unit connections. Our club member Tang found the way for us to install the LegoDEI receivers. Our Torro tanks could only receive hits from about 15 feet and in the shade previously. Now they can be shot at 70 feet out in the sun. After a long time, our Torro tanks are now qualified to enter our battlefield in our club.

The Torro tank performed well yesterday. It did the lambada shake when it got its 5th hits. It made most of the members in the battle laugh. We had fun.
We also implemented a new game. Members placed their tanks any spots on the battlefield. I had a box of red and blue flags that I walked to each member and they would blindly picked a flag. They then went back to their tanks and placed the flag on the IR receivers. We then started the battle. So friends and foes are mixed all over the battlefield. It was chaotic. I called it: "IN THE HEAT OF BATTLE", heheh!
