Ok here is another of my captured/Stranger in a Strange Land/Spoils of War Bird. FlightLine FW-190 V1 1120mm (44") Wingspan - PNP bird. As usual it looked great right out of the box. However I wanted to make it mine. So with the help of Callie-Graphics.com I changed it to one of the Fw-190's that the USAAC Captured, repainted, changed the markings to US markings and test flew it.

So as usual the first few pics are what it looked like out of the box. the next few are in work pics. and the last few are of the finished warbird. when I get some pics of her in the air I will post them latter.

I'd recommend to go a step further and use separate 2S Li-Po receiver packs to power your electronics separately from the EDFs, using a high-power UBEC (continuous 8A minimum).

I use 600mAh batts and will normally replace them every two flights, leaving a lot of margin. Then again, all up to personal preference!

This is not so much about the picture but more about something to make life easier.

I have a tip for all new and old pilots getting in to 6S models that I think should be mentioned on the show: Make yourself an approx 1ft, or more, battery-cable with a smaller connector at one end and the 6S battery connector at the other end. Then you can use smaller batteries when working on the model on the bench. I use 3S or 4S depending on what is at hand. It will cycle the gear, you can set throws and test everything you need, also throttle at low rpm. This takes away the hassle of having to work with and connect/disconnect big 6S batteries indoors. With a longer cable the battery can rest on the bench and out of the way. I use XT90s on my 6S batteries and XT60 on my smaller ones, so the picture is a FW Su35 on its back with a 1800mah/4S XT60 battery on the bench connecting to the XT90 in the model.

Use it if you want to, at least it has made my life easier.

And for all the Mig29 guys: Get yourself a Y-cable from one battery connecting to both ESCs, and the calibration will be as simple as on a single engine model.

Great Segment, here are a couple video's from my A-10 redone in the Arctic Thunder scheme maiden flight and my F-18 redone in the Canadian Demo scheme at it's maiden flight.

Well you guys said you wanna know what we are doin with your models out in the field, so here are my 5 cents on the topic.

I baught this Freewing F-35c version II in late 2019 and since this is an slightly older model i thought i should bring it up to current standards so i modded it a little, moved the battery hatch to the top, oleo landing struts for better ground handling, landing lights, 120mm more wing span for a better glide path and lower landing speed and a more visual color scheme for better visibility in the air...its a super nice flyer :)

I’m a huge fan of sport jets in a military livery, so I figured I’d paint my Freewing Avanti S (still one of my favorite aircraft) in one of my favorite liveries, the VFA-102 Diamondbacks. If you own an Avanti S and want to freshen it up after years of service, consider giving it a makeover with a new livery. Hopefully the next sport jet that Freewing releases is in a military livery. I’d be a buyer for sure.

I removed the old decals, filled in the rudder hinge slots, concealed the front vertical stabilizer screw holes and the four horizontal stabilizer screw holes, and 3D printed and painted a tailcone/nozzle. These changes made for a bit of a sleeker look.
