Nice job! I like the grin on that pilot. Seems appropriate!

Had to repaint the cockpit to a color closer to scale... Used Model Master RLM66 Schwarzgrau. Also did a recess in the foam with the dremel for a "cockpit" and added a German Stuka gunner from The Ultimate Soldier toys. 1/18th scale. Touched up the frame with RLM 83 Dark Green from Hataka Paints. I am installing the A3-L gyro with a Spektrum 610 receiver. Should fly great!!!!3 PhotosLeave a comment:

Looks like I should have done my homework a little more thoroughly before suggesting using a 12 blade fan in this little bird. It requires a battery too big and heavy to be practical for anything other than quick up and down, missile-like flights if it would fit at all. I'd much rather go the other way with longer wings to make it a more practical flatland soaring bird for less hectic flying. You can google "ME163 over Barcelona" to see what one Spanish modeler made a scrat5ch-built 163 into.Leave a comment:

No, I'm getting a solid 5 minutes on the 1800 and that's blasting it pretty good...I think I can get 7 minutes or more slow FPV flying with it. I'm going to get another one for FPV and put a Runcam Split system in the cockpit area and can the canopy, I may run a 2200 in it.Leave a comment:

TiredIronGRB, wow that is a lot of reduced throw on the controls. That is good to know. Have you flown with a larger 2200mah battery?Leave a comment:

Thanks! Mixes are new to me. :) Mine showed up yesterday, tomorrow is build day and then Saturday will be a flying day with it.Leave a comment:

So to turn the mix on you have to throw switch A? It's not part of the throttle curve?Leave a comment:

Day 600: I got several more flights on the P-15 today, before you guys start upgrading the power system please fly it...this thing is extremely fast but it will cruise around very slow with 1/4 throttle or less. I was thinking last night about how it wants to dive with WOT on I've been playing with throttle aileron mixing and have it at 15% and it seems to eliminate it. The pics below show my setup for the mix (plane is setup as a delta wing on the transmitter not on the receiver). I also tamed down the ailerons some more.

Well I am hoping mine will be here by Saturday but if not it gives me time to look at everything about this plane.Leave a comment:

I ordered my P.15 Sunday evening and it will be here Wednesday so that I can have it in the air this weekend. As everyone is stating - that is service!
