Sorry about that. We thought they were in the box with the plane. As soon as we received the L-39, we shipped them out immediately. We were putting all the spare parts away and found a box of gunpods a few days later. We opened up the remaining L-39 boxes and found there were not any gunpods in with the plane. Freewing boxed them separately and unfortunately we did not know this. Anyone who ordered from Europe who is missing the gunpod, please open a ticket and we'll send you a gunpod. I apologize for the mishap.Originally posted by BlueQ View PostAlpha:"Hi Rudi, the one advantage of the L-39 shipments bound for Europe being delayed is that ALL of them included gunpods in the box before they left the factory. So yours will be in there! Thanks for your patience and support!"
No, it isn't

I'm reading about a few of you having issues with the blue box (MCB-E). In general, the problem occurs after connecting everything to the control box and putting the gear down and immediately noticing you can't steer the plane. The problem is the rudder and steering servo are out of sync.
The procedure to put them in sync is the following. Do this with the radio on and battery connected to the ESC of the plane (do not power down plane or radio during tests). For safety, use throttle lock on your radio.- Remove steering servo wire from the steering servo port on the MCB-E and connect the steering servo wire to the 2nd rudder port on the MCB-E.
- Test steering and rudder. Everything should work.
- Cycle gear up and down 2 – 3 times.
- Put gear up one last time.
- Reconnect steering servo to the steering servo port on MCB-E.
- Test steering with gear up – rudder servo should work, steering servo should not move with the gear up.
- Put gear down, steering servo should work.

Hello,
short update refering to my L39: Talked to MRC EU, which was a pleasure for me.
They offered me a new plane, but after figuring out these and that we came to the conclusion that I'll get a new main gear and new tip tanks.
That's fine for me so I can continue with assembling.
Already painted the servos white and fitted the pushrods.
Hopefully the components will arrive on the weekend, we will see. ;)
So thank you MRC EU for the prompt and kindly support.:Cool::Cool:

It was already done. ;)Originally posted by Petronio View PostHey people how sturdy or rather how likely is the Albatros to develop slop on the front strut over time? My A4 has a lot!! A friend of mine and myself just got the bird and am wondering if it is worth to design one of those nose strut support brace that someone else had designed for the Avanti...? Tx!
This part will help support the nose wheel retract when it is extended. I used the rubber cement that came with the plane kit to glue it in place. Make sure that it sits about 1mm below the top of the retract bay to allow room for the nose gear door to close. It is best to install it when the plane is new. If you are installing it in an older plane that has fore and aft play make sure that it is installed flush with the back wall of the retract bay. If you push a worn retract forward it will change the caster angle and cause the ground handling to be questionable. There will be still be play moving forward on a worn retract.
I've already printed one and installed it. Works perfectly!

Like all trike gear planes, they will over time start to get sloppy. A lot depends on how you grease it in on mains and keep shock load off nose wheel. That being said, my landings are not always perfect, so I had a friend make the support for my Avanti and the extra one I modified to fit my L-39. It takes a little bit of trimming, as the two planes are slightly different. But I like the added support the brace gives the front strut when it is extended. So I believe it can only help out for those less then perfect landings.

Good luck on the gun pod, I opened a ticket right after I got mine from the first batch, which is what I was told to do and have yet to see it.........:)Originally posted by ChriKri View PostHi,
I received my L-39 yesterday. Unfortunately the machine gun pod is missing. ( I opened a ticket for this).
And I could not find a manual for the 100 A ESC. Is there any manual availabkle for download ?
Or can somebody post the parameters and how to set up with the transmitter ? Or can it be only programmed with the card ?
Thanks in advance.

Hallo Andreas, wie geht's? Wilkommen zum HobbySquawk!
I would also suggest opening a support ticket with MRC EU for the faulty landing gear. They will most likely replace it without question. Regarding the landing light, you may need to discuss with them over the phone. Could be an improper LED was used on the dim side.

Hello,
this is my first post in this forum, so I'd like to introduce myself: My name is Andreas and I'm 56 years old. I'm from Germany an do RC flying since more than 20 years. I like to fly nearly everything what is able to fly.
Started with Heli, than fixed wing, sailplanes and since more than 10 years turbine powered jets also.
I like EDF because it's very handy and makes fun to fly with them.
So, now comming to my brand new L-39: Ordered on Sunday and recieved today thanks to MotionRC EU. (Btw. received with gunpod ;) )
First check is always before assembly, if everything works as designed.
Unfortunately this was not the case.
Left main gear came out at once, stayed in the down position and burned off. :Crying:
The remaining two struts were not working.
So disassembling and checking one by one - everything was fine.
After reassembling (the faulty gear was of course disconnected) everything worked as designed also frontweel steering was fine.
The only issue I found out was different colourtemperature on the landing lights: the right one was bright white whereas the left one was more or less yellow.
I think I'll phone RCM EU tomorrow and look what they have to offer.
I would not like to blame RCM or Freewing with this post. What I will say, that it's important to do as many checks as possible before assembling a model.
Electronic failures can occur an nobody is immune to this.
Keep you informed.
Kind regards
Andreas

The link below is the programming manual for the ESC found in the Avanti (and should be the same as the L-39’s ESC), which was linked on Motion RC’s webpage under the main model’s product page within the “Support” Tab. This is the section of a model’s page that a person can usually find the product manual and other supporting documents such as the ESC programming manual, etc. This will come in handy the next time you’re looking for various documentation in digital form. I hope this helps!Originally posted by ChriKri View PostHi,

Just got my new L39 and when setting it up I had the same problem with the blue box rudder/steering. I just y harnessed them together. Also, the rudder servo is bad. Very twitchy with stick inputs. Put in a ticket for a new one. I hate the thought of digging out the bad one to replace it on a brand new model that hasn't even flown yet.
