F-35C Lightning II Super Scale 110mm EDF Jet with Gyro – PNP from Freewing – FJ50111PG

The F-35C Lightning II is the U.S. Navy's carrier variant of the most advanced stealth strike fighter ever built. Designed specifically for carrier operations, the F-35C features the largest wings of the three F-35 variants, distinctive folding wingtips for below-deck storage, and a reinforced airframe built to withstand the extreme demands of catapult launches and arrested landings. As the Navy and Marines' only fifth-generation strike fighter, the F-35C combines stealth, advanced sensor fusion, and supersonic performance in a platform that defines modern carrier aviation.

The Freewing F-35C Lightning II Super Scale 110mm EDF Jet is the largest model Freewing has ever produced, and it delivers the scale fidelity and features expected from their most ambitious release. Powered by an all-new high-performance 110mm EDF unit, this model commands the flight line with serious thrust and an authoritative presence that suits the scale and significance of the aircraft. Its precisely sculpted stealthy fuselage, accurate F-35C wing geometry make this one of the most faithful large-scale representations of the Lightning II ever produced.

The feature list is exceptional. CNC-machined shock-absorbing struts, scale painted gear legs, and sequenced landing gear doors deliver the kind of ground presence and realistic operation you'd expect from a much larger and more expensive model. Factory-installed scale LED navigation, formation, and nose gear landing lights illuminate the airframe, while an included afterburner LED system delivers a glowing exhaust effect at full throttle that turns heads on the flight line and during every high-speed pass. Quick-release plug-in wings for fast, tool-free assembly and a factory-installed EG01 gyro complete the package — delivering a refined, confidence-inspiring flight experience from the very first takeoff.

Three distinct livery options span both U.S. Navy and U.S. Marines F-35C operations. The VFA-147 Argonauts (tail #406) delivers the clean, muted gray look of a front-line carrier jet in low visibility trim. The VMFA-251 Thunderbolts (tail #01) brings bold orange-yellow lightning bolt markings on a striking dark tail, while the VFA-101 Grim Reapers (tail #101) features the iconic skeleton figure with dramatic red accents. Each model ships with factory-applied common markings and a custom decal set — apply your squadron's signature details straight from the sheet, or use the clean airframe as a canvas for your own custom scheme.
    Freewing’s Biggest & Best

The F-35C is the largest and most feature-loaded model Freewing has ever produced to date. Scale landing gear, sequenced gear doors, afterburner LEDs, scale navigation lighting, quick-release wings, and a factory gyro combine to deliver a level of scale realism and flight refinement that pushes every boundary at this size class.
    110mm. Every Millimeter Earned.

The all-new 110mm 12-blade EDF unit at the heart of the F-35C isn't just the largest fan Freewing has ever put in a model — it's the engine behind everything this aircraft delivers. Raw thrust, turbine-like sound, and the kind of performance that matches the scale of the jet it powers.
    Gear Down. Sequence Complete.

When the gear comes down on this model, it shows. CNC-machined shock-absorbing struts, scale painted gear legs, and finely detailed undercarriage components combine to deliver the kind of ground presence that makes the F-35C look every bit as purposeful sitting on the ramp as it does in the air.
    Three Liveries. Each One Legendary.

Choose from the operational low visibility scheme of VFA-147 Argonauts (tail #406), the bold orange-yellow lightning bolt markings of VMFA-251 Thunderbolts (tail #01), or the iconic Grim Reaper skeleton figure with dramatic red accents of VFA-101 (tail #101). Each model ships with factory-applied common markings and a custom decal set — apply your squadron's signature details straight from the sheet, or use the base markings as a canvas for your own custom scheme.
    Confidence at Scale

The factory-installed gyro stabilization system smooths the flight envelope and aids precision on approach, making the F-35C more locked in, without taking anything away from the model’s high-performance character.
    Light Up The Sky

Factory-installed navigation and formation LEDs illuminate key positions across the airframe, while the included afterburner LED system delivers a glowing exhaust effect at full throttle. Whether flying at dusk or making a low-speed pass down the runway, this model makes an impression every single time.
    Fast to the Flight Line

Quick-release plug-in wings mean the F-35C goes from transport to flight faster than you’d expect from a model this size. Less time assembling, more time flying — exactly how it should be at the field.
The F-35C Look — Done Right

The F-35C has one of the most distinctive silhouettes in modern aviation — a carefully shaped stealth airframe where every surface serves a purpose. This model captures that presence faithfully, from the broad carrier wings and blended fuselage contours to the characteristic nose profile, canted twin tails, and the subtle angular geometry that defines the Lightning II's stealthy identity.

Well does this have the reinforcement on leading edges or around cockpit area, sure hope it does for such a big nice high dollar jet.before I get one like that it better have that on it or I pass, too big not have it.i didn't read it in there or did I miss it!

Curious about the flight time being reported…

Also, two different motors are stated in the intro text and specs…please confirm which motor is in the kit.

            3658-2150Kv in runner motor

            Thanks,

680kV, the other is the 80mm fan.

3.5 minutes to his alarm to land goes off. On my planes I usually have about 45 seconds after the alarm to set up, land and taxi in.

                680KV is correct.

On the first prototype Chris and I tested, I had my timer set to around 3:30 on 6S 5000's. Mind you, I have my timer set as a "time to prepare for landing" timer, not a "need to be on the ground now" timer, so actual time is around 4 minutes on 5000's. 6000's of course will be better, but it obviously will vary person to person depending on how long you hammer the throttle 😅

I can't speak for Chris, but at events I usually set my timer for 10-15 seconds less just to allow more room for a go around for traffic or various other reasons, but I believe he mostly flew 6000's at the event.

Flight time is closer to 4.5 min........ I video the flight at Jet Jam..... 5min 35sec including taxi. But i would say by 4 or 4.5 min you should start landing. I asked Chris what battery results were after flight he advised 3.81 on the flight from my video using 6200mah batteries. Video link below: I think I said Leslie and instead of Wesley on video, sorry brother !
