First sunny day in a while that you could actually go outside without freezing your keester off. In keeping with an old tradition, the new Avanti V2 got her pics:
Seeking a couple of photos of the nose gear bay for the Avanti S V2. Just returning a couple of parts removed previously and struggling with the gear door actuators.
As far as CG goes, I had my Admiral 5000's and 4500's sitting so the back end sat at the aft end of the battery deck. Interesting to watch Wesley's video, he runs his leads from the rear, I've always run mine from the front. Looks like the nose gear retract mount has been reinforced which is a good thing. Nothing like having to split the fuse to get that little plastic piece out to repair. PITA!
I love the new paint scheme!! Having experienced landing the V1, I realized early on that I'd have to hold that nose up. I can still hear Ryan telling me, "Commit to the landing!" He was right. With the new version, a level fuse when landing should kiss the runway.
I'm in the process of applying many coats of clear gloss on her, she'll shine like a sunny day!
Just ordered my Christmas present. Avanti V2 and the lemon receiver/stabilizer. Looking forward to seeing how she compares with V1. Which met a tragic end. For some reason the receiver lost connection. No response and I just had to watch her hit the ground. Oh well...
Thought it is time I added the Avanti to my hanger ,after everyone really rates this model. Now I have a problem .Freewing have brought out the 90mm Zeus .Mmmm Avanti or Zeus ??????
I like problems like this
After 110 flights it went to hangar for rest, then Freewing T45 got its turbine time, and then Mig21....
now it is winter and grass is not great, so avanti time again :)
but changed livery a bit not to get bored with old white one...
Outstanding, but then I'm kinda partial to the Tiger Scheme.

My CG is at 120mm. Can't go further back as the battery (4500mAh) sits at the rear wall already. Flies perfectly.
Ah, do NOT use the control throws from the manual either. They're way too aggresive.
yes had the same experience with the Ailerons on high rates ., it was like a DrillingMachine. To much for me 😄 🤣
I put them on 82% (10% expo)
And CG is same like you 120mm with a
6s 5000 100c Spektrum smart pack 700gr
Flies & lands like a Dream!
(But i'm still a Rooki .. need a lot more flighthours )

Those from this video work perfectly
Thanks for the Reply Evan D
I pushed the battery a few inches back (step by step) and the Avanti flies a lot easier with no throttle. I think the Avanti was a little bit to much nose heavy 😅😅
A friend of me printed a landing support for the Avanti v2
