Battery had to be shifted forward more than an inch. Some of my mods so far:https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=41696http://ed...
Blew out my brand new 14 blade motor for some reason and had a crash landing but it's back together now with the stock fan. I have a 13 blade XRP 6S fan on order.

Sorry to see your F104 have an incident, but at least the damage wasn't bad at all. Any idea why the fan failed? I have to admit, I am really liking that Starfighter. Once I get a bit better at flying EDFs, I will have to give that one a try!
Hey URRL, would you mind posting more information on your LED afterburner ring setup? It looks great!

Simply glued to the back of the exhaust once it was lightly sanded. I chose the option of pasting on a cut-out from a white styrofoam plate to diffuse the individual LED lights.
This morning's flight testing the EDF Hobbies 12 blade inrunner. This jet takes verticals to new heights; it's almost scary. Seems to be the strongest fan I've tested so far out of the 13 and 14 blade fans I've already used.

Dang that is a gorgeous jet, and the sound is awesome from the fan you are using. If I can get a bit more experience with my Stinger 64 and a couple of other EDFs that I have, I might just have to have one of those! Glad your crash landing didn't result in any damage. It really looked like it basically floated in and pancaked in the grass. Nice flying!
