Quality is awesome but this is a builders kit. The plans and instructions are very good but I wouldn't recommend SkyShark kits for the first time builder. I'd certainty recommend their kits to anyone who has a few builds..Originally posted by Hardway View PostNice. Is it a good kit? There are all kinds of quality and fit, so you know what I am asking.... I will go for one!!! Are the retracts and stuff available too???? Thanks!!! Looks great so far... Jerry

Got the bottom rear skinned. Lots of Windex, colorful metaphors and gluing fingers to the sheeting. I filled all the "gaps" with tite- bond and started sanding this morning. I've got a bunch more sanding to do but I see the end is near as far as the fuse .Dry fitting the tail surfaces and they look pretty close. I still need to finish up the cockpit I may have found a source of 9th scale Navy WW II pilots and will have a better handle on that Monday. Weathers looking like crap for flying tomorrow so I'll spend the day in the shop.

Worked on the Avenger some more. Getting ready to finish sheeting the wing and fitting it to the fuse. Elevator and rudder servos are in and while I'm not a fan of nyrods I had no choice.I think I managed to get them pretty much slop free. Still a long way to go. My graphics came in from Callie and I'm waiting on a order from Balsa USA for some fabric ( for the elevator ,rudder and ailerons ) Poly tack and filler. Think I've got enough .56 glass to get the wing a fuse done.
