Spent the last 24 hours on the freaking split flaps. While they are in and will work I need to do a bunch of adjusting. This may not seem like much but trust me it made my head hurt.

          Great progress, Mike.

RRHandy, I think you are thinking of the Dauntless dive breaks.

That's one of the reasons I won't do a SBD. Although the thought has crossed my mind more than once.

Figured I'd post a update. Filling and sanding prepping for glassing. Nothing very interesting.

Happy Easter to all. Been flying a bunch with the nice weather but sneak a little work here and there on the Avenger. Sheeting the bottom of the wing cut the wells for the gear. Mounted the wing after measuring 1000 times to be sure it was square ans am working on the belly pan today. Didn't want you guys to thing I was slacking off.

This week. Belly pan finished , pilot and gunner ready and canopy and all the glass liquid masked. Still need to fabricate gear doors, mount the motor and do a bit more in the cockpit..

The build is coming along nicely!!! It is just a lot of work!! Unless you have built one off the plans, you just don't know... Good job!

Yes indeed, or just go out and build one out of your head, as I did my P39, with a correct position motor. That was crazy, but it does fly well!

My first plan build was Rich Uravich's 80' SE5A. That was a learning experience. After the Avenger is ready for paint I've got a BUSA SE5 1/4 scale I'll start on. here's the scheme.I did my BUSA in the same squadron only in overseas colors.

                                        • Been glassing for the last week. The fuse is about done. Boring ( like watching paint dry) and tedious but it's coming. Ku
