Peajay5 I thought I would never see the day I would like a red Corsair but I stand corrected!

borntoolate that's a great mod. Love that livery. Those guys (BS 498) fought long and hard. Beautiful work. Best, LB

If I get a good solid nose, I am planning to modify my B25 into a Fighting Falcon's gunship from the 498th Bomb Squadron. I previously modified a FMS B-25 into this version.

Ahh thanks! I have 8 planes already from Eflite and FMS so I figured I would Jump in the Motion RC pool!Originally posted by Elbee View Post
PJ, As Evan D wrote, Welcome to "The Squawk".
Great to read you've jumped in with 2 new models.
Nicely Done, Sir.
The Sabre is on my 'must have list' and the Mitchell is on pre-order, too.
I think the 3 liveries offered are representative of the "J" Model and are stunning.
Though I'm thinking of modding a "C" model, so I, for one, will be looking at different livery choices.
Best, LB
I saw all the graphics on cali graphics for the B25. I bought some graphics for a F4U corsair I painted a while ago. I had dead aileron servo and crashed it. I got all new parts and rebuilding it again.

When I was younger I played in B-25’s that were mil aid to Uruguay but the scheme was super boring. Plain aluminum with the colors on the rudders and a nose number.

I ordered mine and I'm excited to fly it. I also ordered the F86 Sabre the same day I picked up the B25. This was my first time ordering from Motion RC! :)

Stars and Bars , are they waterslide decals?
I’d like to safely remove them and replace with RCAF markings.

Probably good to keep that one in the box! I had one many years ago that I eventually painted up as a USAAF photo recon plane with a bright red tail on it and the rest in PRU blue. Really looked and flew great in RAF and USAAF colors. Eventually wore it out enough to the point where I donated it to a aviation museum in the Denver area. They've since moved to Idaho, so not sure what the status of that airplane is, but it still looked great the last time I saw it. Wish someone would come out with another mosquito, maybe a larger one, I'd snap that thing up in a second!Originally posted by borntoolate View Post
i do have the Freewing Mosquito, but it is still new in the box. Too rare for me to build and possibly crash!!!

Thanks LB, it was done with 6" wise HVAC tape. I also filled in all the panel lines and used a filler primer to achieve a very smooth finish prior to adding the tape. It was added panel by panel, and took quite a while to finish, but the result was worth all the work.Originally posted by Elbee View PostF106DeltaDart Wow, gorgeous airframe and great work on the aluminum. Is that metal tape (HVAC) or a model product like Bare Metal Foil? Doesn't matter it looks outstanding.

Grossman56 Looks good so far.
I was a lowly line boy at Rowden Field (Beechcraft Service Center) which was across the street from Beech-Craft Manufacturing and Beech Field in 1969-70.
Olive Ann Beech was selling Walter's personal Model 18. It was flown over to us at Rowden for Service and to be cleaned, compounded, and polished.
Point is, I understand completely how much work it takes to get that beautiful 'shine'.
It was just one of the perks of working there for sure, that and I earned my Ground School, Solo, and ticket at the time.
Those were inspirational days for me. Flew right seat in a Model 17G that same Summer.

They definitely look great in aluminum! Lots of work though. Refinished my LX in Aluminum, and lost it to an RX failure last year. I’ve got another LX to refinish, but the Flightline model would have made the job much easier.Originally posted by Elbee View PostAnd there is something to be said for a "J" in aluminum, too.
