I'm sure if you really wanted to, you could make it work. However ............................... This P-51 uses a 16 X 12 prop, turned by a 390kv motor. The FMS 1700 uses a 17 X 9, turned by a 360kv motor. The FMS prop has much less "bite" than the FL prop. To be more equal, it needs to be 17 X 11. The FL motor is close in kv but is slightly more max speed. The FL plane is about 0.8kg lighter. Hard to say if performance would be the same. You'd have to try it and see.

In a similar line of thinking, it may be worth seeing if this motor would give the FMS 1700mm P-51 a small boost in performance. It came with an 85A ESC, so it may just be able to take it.

I wonder if they're the same props they used on the Freewing P 51. I was looking for parts and I see that it's gone as well as the Tigercat. I'm starting to have some rare birds.....

Yeah would love a 100% scale prop but still looks good to me.

Looks very interesting. Wish the prop was bigger. It’s about 85% of scale. The Eflite P-51 1500mm prop looks bigger on the plane to me.

I suspect Eflite will have a new P-51 1500mm soon.

If I didn't have the FMS 1700mm P-51, I'd be on this one. I'd even consider getting rid of the FMS in favor of this one but the price is a bit steep considering it would be a second one for me.

Here ya go: (May as well turn the sound and closed caption OFF. Can't understand any of it.)

ID:	444867 I was really hoping for a B model, but $660 is steep. Maybe later.

I'm not a EFlite fan (I consider them exorbitantly priced) though I had, I think six of the FMS 1450 Mustangs. Did that $600 include a receiver?

Looks like it did @$580. The Spektrum AR637TA 6-Channel Receiver is about a $100 receiver so not really comparable in price either.

Considering the E-Flite 1.5 Mustang was pushing $600 at the end of its availability I can't get too excited about this one's price especially considering it has more features, and is biggerrr..and looks more scale. To me anyway.

$660 is more than kind of high when the very similar Spitfire which was $349 when released is now only $469. 41% more.

Yeah for the price the Quick Drop Actuators should've come with imho. I ordered one. Love me some planes with functional gimmicks.
