    P-51D Mustang 1600mm (63") Wingspan - PNP from FlightLine - FLW307P

The North American P-51 Mustang is widely regarded as one of the most important and capable fighter aircraft of World War II. Designed as a long-range escort fighter, the Mustang combined speed, range, and maneuverability to protect Allied bombers deep into enemy territory. Its laminar-flow wing, sleek fuselage, and powerful Merlin engine helped make it one of the most effective piston-engine fighters ever flown.

The FlightLine RC 1600mm P-51D Mustang captures the speed, elegance, and authority of one of aviation’s most iconic fighters in a large-format electric warbird designed to look right and fly smoothly. Capturing the unmistakable Mustang lines and stance, this model delivers true scale presence on the ground and commanding performance in the air.

The airframe comes fully painted from the factory, showcasing a clean, scale-accurate finish that highlights the Mustang’s sleek lines and surface detail. Included with the model are four complete marking options, allowing builders to choose their preferred scheme during final assembly. The featured “Frenesi” markings serve as the flagship livery, while three additional decal sets provide flexibility to represent alternate looks without the need for repainting.

Built using FlightLine’s proven multi-material construction, the 1600mm P-51D combines molded EPO foam with plastic, plywood, carbon reinforcement, and aluminum components to create a strong, lightweight airframe. Functional flaps and retractable landing gear enhance realism while supporting smooth takeoffs, stable approaches, and confident landings on a variety of field surfaces.

Designed to balance scale authenticity with everyday flyability, the FlightLine 1600mm P-51D Mustang offers predictable handling, excellent visibility, and the kind of smooth, flowing flight that suits the Mustang’s legacy. Whether flown in wide, graceful passes or displayed as a centerpiece in the pits, this is a Mustang that delivers size, style, and substance without compromise.
    Commanding Mustang Presence

With a 1600mm wingspan and true 1/7-scale proportions, the P-51D Mustang commands attention on the ground and in the air. Its unmistakable lines and stance deliver the presence expected of a large-format warbird.
    Factory Finished, Builders Choice

The airframe arrives fully painted from the factory, showcasing crisp panel lines and a clean, scale-accurate finish. Four complete marking options are included, allowing builders to choose their preferred livery during final assembly, with “Frenesi” serving as the flagship scheme.
    Screwless, Quick-Release Wings

Spend less time in the pits and more time in the air. The P-51D Mustang uses screwless, quick-release wing mounts that make field assembly fast and convenient. Transport is easy, and setup takes only minutes.
    Scale Gear, Real Confidence

Electric retractable landing gear, including the tail wheel, feature CNC-machined scale shock absorbing struts and cycling gear doors for authentic operation. Large 95mm main wheels improve ground handling and make the Mustang well-suited for grass and uneven field surfaces.
    Realistic Details Brought To Life

Integrated LED navigation lights and switch activated simulated gun muzzle flash LEDs in the wings add realism and enhance visibility in the air. These functional details bring the Mustang to life both on the ground and in the air.
    Built Scale, Tuned For Performance

Functional flaps reduce approach speeds and improve landing control, while the tuned airframe minimizes torque effects during takeoff and landings. Combined with an accessible sliding battery tray for quick swaps and easy CG adjustment, the Mustang is built to fly as confidently as it looks.

    • Large-format P-51D Mustang with 1600mm wingspan and 1420mm length for commanding scale presence

I'd prefer it less expensive, but since I retired my E Flite P-51Ds, I could see getting this one. I like the droppables, the scale landing light, and the lighted machine guns, just for fun.

As a hopeless scale geek, I like they have it painted in the basic color of the famous 357th FG out of Yoxford England. I would probably choose Nooky Booky that was flown by "Kit" Carson, one of the stalwart aces in this unit along with the likes of Chuck Yeager and several others.

              Elbee,
Expensive yes, but this could be a start of a great P-51B malcom hood project that I think you could well accomplish and we would all enjoy watching.
              Best Regards, Rex

It was a retrofit canopy that had much better visibility.

Another P51 just what we need. Its a beautiful model but how about some adversaries such as a ME109G or a Zero? Cost is also kind of high but then everything is going up.

Yeah for the price the Quick Drop Actuators should've come with imho. I ordered one. Love me some planes with functional gimmicks.

$660 is more than kind of high when the very similar Spitfire which was $349 when released is now only $469. 41% more.

Considering the E-Flite 1.5 Mustang was pushing $600 at the end of its availability I can't get too excited about this one's price especially considering it has more features, and is biggerrr..and looks more scale. To me anyway.

I'm not a EFlite fan (I consider them exorbitantly priced) though I had, I think six of the FMS 1450 Mustangs. Did that $600 include a receiver?

Looks like it did @$580. The Spektrum AR637TA 6-Channel Receiver is about a $100 receiver so not really comparable in price either.
