Thanks guys! Happy to share my observations to help those about to purchase or maiden.
I think I have plenty of birds, now. That is until MRC releases one I just gotta have.
The winds/gusts/chop was VERY bad prior to the P-51 maiden as I flew the F-4. It got caught up in a localized wind shear on final and in spite of a fast approach speed and high power setting….the F-4 simply fell out of the sky down behind some trees. I found her upright just past a large tree root. The nose cone was smashed by the large root, and the fuselage was split just ahead of the intakes. No other damage. She’s already repaired and ready for some more flights on less poor weather days.
Sometimes luck is better than skill!

) it's always a good idea to follow your lead and advice, so keep me posted on your P-51 motor upgrade. My P-51 is also in too good a shape to trash it and it certainly flies well enough and looks great in the air. I've upgraded the cockpit a bit and got a sound system in it as well so it just has too much going for it! England did the first upgrade for the P-51 with the Merlin, so it's about time a Canadian figures out an upgrade to the FMS P-51.
