I read some very nice things on the Dynam website about this plane. But I am highly amused that the "racecar" wheel in the picture (see the previous post) has been photoshopped out!

Maybe they decided it didn't look right?

Its certainly quite possible that this picture is of the prototype and they just bolted on the B26 wheels for convenience. If the production version will get scale wheels, that would be great.

    hopefully coming soon.....

It will come with race care wheels. Alpha mentioned that Dynam is trying to keep the price point down on stuff we can easily replace. Like the ugly pilots that came with the Marauder.

Looking at the web site, the price was quoted as $999.00. Not sure if that is adjusted for US shipment or what........Wish it wasn't Dynam

UK dist CML claims oct 20 th availability. MRC announced the marauder presale about the time CML said theirs would be available. Maybe a teaser soon? Any comment alpha? Im outta room in my man cave(more of a cubby really) and i am competing for space in the dining room. If i dont hurry my wife will put up something decidedly feminine or family photos(i know what my family looks like..why do i need photos?) and i may lose any claim.

CML changed the arrival date from 10/20/17 to TBC (too bad chaps?). Not sure what TBC means but pretty sure something like "we have no idea" or " sezchuan......we have a problem". I dont know why i get my hopes up. Feels like when my daughter says shes caught up on all her homework. I want to believe. Maybe this time is for real. Nope. Same old story. Damn....

I don't mind the wait as long as it does come. I'd rather have a well thought out plane than one rushed for a delivery date.

I agree. Rather have it right. Marauder was my first Dynam and i sort of knew what to expect as far as "dynam-ing" before and during assembly but the packaging was a real shocker. Some dings in her from stuff moving around that some really cheap packing materials would have prevented. In Alpha we trust....

I have a few Dynam planes in my roster of RC planes, and most of the flyers in this area do as well. In discussion the one thing we all have experienced is that EVERY Dynam plane we have received arrived with at least minor damage and a few major damage.

The reason is very obvious, it is the way Dynam packages the components, rather than use the foam shipping cartons that most other RC manufacturers use Dynam chooses to package their components in light cardboard boxes which are then placed in the heavy cardboard shipping container.

Dynam does use the air filled plastic protectors it is not enough to keep the components in the boxes from moving around. While their latest plane the B26 does come with one piece of foam molded to keep the major wing and motor module in place during shipping it does not do its job, that piece was damaged during shipping.

If Dynam would just follow the practice of using the foam shipping cartons that the other manufacturers use they would reduce the amount of damage significantly.

Most of use just accept that and are prepared to fix minor damage ourselves, major damage no, at least without some sort of compensation for our time and trouble. If anyone has seen the new FMS F7F and the way it is packaged, wow, nothing in that package is going to move. Best packaging I have ever seen.

I know that using foam shipping cartons would increase Dynam's cost, but I for one would certainly pay a bit more knowing that my plane would arrive undamaged. As I said before, not one of the local flyers who have quite a few Dynam planes bought by the group have ever received a Dynam plane without it being damaged. However, at the price point of the Dynam planes most of us just accept minor damage as something to endure, major damage no.

Then again, Motion RC will certainly be receiving complaints from those who receive damaged Dynam planes.

Do you think that the release of the P-61 has been delayed because of all the flak we put up (LOL) about the problem we ran into with the Marauder? I really like my Marauder a lot but I was one of the voices who ran down the list of all the problems and defects that needed to be fixed. Like making fun of the toy pilots and racing-slick tires. So I am feeling a bit guilty. I just hope that MRC didn't take offense and decide that they aren't going to bring the P61 to us unless it is completely perfect (and expensive). I will be perfectly happy to fix the same kinds of problems, fixing up ARFs is just part of the game for me and I enjoy customizing my models anyway. It doesn't need to be perfect. Bring it on! Please!

Fixing cosmetic issues is one thing but when you are making mods because of a factory design to the incidence so that it flies correctly then they do need to make it right.
These forums have been expressing the displeasures of these short cuts for awhile and they(manuf) have been listening and making better and better foam ARF's to our delight.
Don't feel guilty about expressing some truthful observations that is of the majority because I would bet it is not going to hurt MRC's sensibilities.
Paying for lackluster performance while expecting better than that is becoming the norm in the younger generation but I won't.
I can patiently wait for them to release a properly made Widow cause if it is another similar Marauder experience I will pass on the P-61 just like I did the B-26.
Bring it on.........but bring it on right ;)

I think the beating dynam has taken over the b26 is not entirely deserved. The marauder flies great stock,no mod required. Other higher end models have ended up with incedence errors (FW p38, FW 70 mm 104 for example) Regluing components is not only a dynam issue(my fw avanti had loose control horns). A cold solder joint caused a crash(TI?), I lost my fw p38 from a cold solder joint. A few have lost their marauders from snaps. Crashed my fw 70mm 104 twice getting used to how it flys. Remember how many 104s where going down when it came out. The tires, pilots, non scale guns are a cost saving measure..im fine with that. Its a price point line.
Now...The packaging needs improvement. The QC (training?)during assembly needs improvement. Seems like those issues should be easy to fix. They HAVE to be costing dynam warranty money. The widow may need some more development time ,wich im sure alpha is spearheading. CML pulled their estimated ETA. German dist moddellbau has a mid january release date listed. So no widow under the tree.
