What materials do you use for the diorama buildings?
    SNAFU is:
    Situation Normal, All F***** Up
    Similarly, FUBAR:
F***** Up Beyond All Repair (or similar)

    WIP I take usually as
    Work In Progress

Urban Dictionary can help with definitions although I'd say it's NSFW at times (Not Safe For Work).

Thanks. I lived in Germany for 6 years and wish I had stayed there. I love Deutschland!

I see the crew has answered the abbreviations. As far as building materials. I am learning as I go. Primarily coroplast.

It hoids up to paint and hot Florida sun pretty well, Recently I have been working with an insulation foam board. Known as XPS. You can etch the design into it. Paint with a mix of acrylic paint and Hodge Podge glue. It too is holding up to weather.

Some glues will work. Or make a small frame from cheap trim wood. I am still working on the magic combo of materials. The up side is my backyard has its own village for tanks.

            Thanks,
I wish you a happy building time.
You may need a Name for your growing Village.

            "Knobelsdorf" comes to mind.
It sounds cool and the term knobel is related to "ausknobeln" meaning something like "figuering it out"

                    • Brought the Abrams and the Sherman to the beach today. Doran Park, Bodega Bay CA. Temps were cool but the sun keeps you warm. I didn't get any cool shots of the Abrams (since I was driving it) but I did get my wife to drive the Sherman for a bit. We did conduct some IR wars out there this afternoon and all had a good time (including those people passing by).

Both tanks were quite capable in the soft sand, but the cleanup task is next (the natural weathering sure works well). I'll see if my wife can send me the photos & video she took; she may have some additional action shots.

                        • Hi Clay,
nice to know you experience some good times with your "Family Tank Crew".
I also find that most bystanders have a positive attitude, so far.
It always ends up in some nice conversations.

I repurposed a Cat litter box to become a "Tank Wash"

                                • Here is a video from my KV2 and the StugIII, drive by and then a short IR battle.
A member of the VietRC Club, in Mississauga ON, joined me at their field and took the video.
His Wife captured our IR battle scenes.
The IR Infrared System is stock HL.
                                  It is limited in Sunlight.
I need to upgrade it sometime.
For now it is just a bit silly fun.
