Thanks Alpha!Originally posted by Alpha View Post
Fair enough, I'll bite:
I’d once been the fear they thought to blind
Though seldom bitten proved them right
Lured past fences coming near
Their snakes to his seven three
Writhing thistles serpent dance
On through Issac’s moody Rest
Concealed suffused a mighty light
They’ve come
And I
Turn way from death

Both hint and poem, now we have the right launch atmosphere!
I got a feeling that the poem is very dark, almost spy black. Could it be that Alpha and the ghost of Kelly Johnson had long nightly meeting and invented a black foam that does not gator in the sun or at Mach 3,5? 🤔

I really enjoy trying to decipher Alpha's pre-announcement poem's, but alas understanding poetry was never my strong suit.........but here goes in the interests of fun!
"I’d once been the fear they thought to blind"
This sounds like a reconnaissance aircraft, with the target of the 'recon' wanting to 'blind' the cameras and other sensors?
"Their snakes to his seven three". "Writhing thistles serpent dance"
A very long shot but Gary Power's U2 was shot down at something around seventy three thousand feet? The line about "writhing thistles serpent dance" could refer to SAM's seeking their target??
Am still hoping that a Hawker Hunter (Miss Demeanor) is in the works, but have learnt that all things come to those that wait!!
Am looking forward to the big reveal, although I'll catch up with the news after the event as I believe the live show will start at around 4am NZ time !!
Cheers
Mike

Makes sense to me.

An Su-57 makes the most sense (a recent Gen. fighter, stealth, extremely maneuverable, and an adversary of the F-22), which would no doubt be cool, but hopefully a Mig-29/35 or Su-35 is a possibility too
.
These Russian jets also do a Cobra (aka snake reference in Alpha's poem maybe, but not sure) maneuver very well. The Blind and Concealed may be the Stealth capability of the Su-57.

I'm still working out how that = an OV-10Originally posted by Alpha View PostBlaze emblazoned worn its hull
Murky seen the sweated curl
Wild the wildling's seat concealed
Sun white wildman's flag unfurled
Toll the bell knelt down the drag
Loft and wilted 'neath his trees

I deciphered it shortly after the OV-10 was announced:Originally posted by The Sheriff View Post

Remember, my riddles are written free-hand, and are not meant to blatantly point to a single airplane. They're mostly for fun since people ask for them.

Not sure what you mean by "live". Mine was a balsa twin engine kit. I'd take a foam one in an instant but I highly doubt Motion would take a foray into the "flying animal" arena.Originally posted by Valkpilot View Post
Yes, but your's was live, not an RC reproduction.
Nevertheless, I think it's going to be a "crow" since I see a lot of guessers are going to be eating some.

I really like your reasoning, Mike, it makes good sense and fits well on a couple points. Unfortunately, it's not a U-2.

Beeg, "Running away from death' = flight speed that's faster than missiles, "Lured past fences" = Photo Recon inside unfriendly borders. "Concealed suffused a mighty light" = the conical shaped movable inlets of the Nacelles. Am I getting warmer? Best, LBOriginally posted by Beeg View PostI'm thinking "snake" = Habu. Running away from death....Lured past fences...
Sounds like a super fast reconnaissance plane to me..."I am having an extraordinary ordinary life."~Lucky B*st*rd~

The riddles are a highlight of the launch for me!
All in good fun, which is the goal of our amazing hobby :)
