Evan, you are correct. Freewing did not change the part number of the 100A ESC from the prior version so we still have the old picture. We'll take a new picture when we get them in stock.

Hadn't been paying any attention to the FW EDF jets and this forum for a long time because I'd given up on hoping they would ever make the F9F-8 Cougar. Imagine my surprise when just by chance I stumbled onto this new FW jet whilst watching YouTube. Of course I placed an order! Very happy about the improved fan unit that uses a proper inrunner motor and 12 blades for better performance and longer run times. Also really like the quick remove/replace wing panel design. Wood tab on the canopy is nice too. FW and MRC have upped their game on this jet and it's great to see. The other jet I've always wanted is the F-106, so now I'm again hoping FW and MRC will finally do the F-106 also! Until then I plan to have lots of fun with the Cougar!Comment

I bought one of these and I’m looking forward to receiving it in June sometime.
I painstakingly searched the internet finding nomenclature markings for my TopRc turbine Cougar I once owned and made a printable sheet in photoshop if anyone is interested. I plan to use them on mine. Enjoy!

Paul

Well let me tell you guys, this new 80mm def unit is gold for the Gripen. It turned my Gripen from a F-15 dog into something comparable to the F-18 and mirage. My vertical is unbelievably now and I clocked 124 mph. Same flight times of 4+ with a 6000 and 3+ with 5000. That’s coming down with 3.8 per cell. Couldn’t be happier with this new unit.

The first batch of Cougars arrived late in the day yesterday. We managed to get a shipping label on less than half of them before the end of the day yesterday since they arrived so late. We'll get the remaining Cougars from the first batch shipped out today.Comment

I have a big batch of the Cougar power systems (inrunner attached to the new 12B EDF) arriving mid June (or so) and another large batch arriving about a week to 10 days later. This first shipment of power systems will arrive with the main shipment of Cougars (mid June). All the other Cougar spare parts are also in that mid June shipment.Comment
