I didn't see anything on the shipping or product box that would indicate which factory cranked it out Viper. Known items are it's a Taft fan with Hobby Wing 100 amp ESC.
As a side note be sure and check the wiki http://wiki.flexinnovations.com/wiki/FlexJet and http://wiki.flexinnovations.com/wiki.../LatestUpdates
It now has information for the elevator linkage install. David was expecting it to be installed on the servo side from the factory but appears that didn't happen. There's also an addendum in the printed manual that calls for setting the landing gear travel to 125% where the original PDF I had only listed ailerons, elevator and rudder at 125 and everything else at 100. The gear will not deploy unless you bump the endpoints to the 125 mark

It comes with a thrust tube installed but gets removed for hooking up elevator linkages and vertical fin installation. Then gets reinstalled after those steps are completed.

As per the manual, there is a thrust tube to be installed.

Finished up the basics on mine this evening. Still have to situate the RX, add the missile rails set CG etc but am tired from not sleeping well last night. After staying up later than usual working on the plane could not fall asleep after going to bed.
So I'm calling it an early night tonight.

              Thanks for those links.
As an example, my SebArt Mig29 is clearly a Freewing product. I guess it really doesn't matter if it turns out to be a superlative product.

According to the printed manual page 19, "The Flexjet is a high performance airplane that can exceed speeds of 100 mph." Haven't flown mine yet so can't compare it to the Avanti for landing but the weather conditions are beginning to look toward a possibility of doing the maiden this Sunday

!00 mph, good luck with that, You do realize this jet only has a 80amp ESC installed in it powered by a 6S lipo.

Seven flights on mine today. I don't know the top speed but it flies faster than the Avanti S that I have. It carries a lot of speed for a long while after chopping throttle and even with a 5500mah in it, it goes straight up from takeoff or from slow level flight. It got small quickly and after flying it along with a F-16 turbine in the air, I was asked if it also was a turbine. So yeah, it's fast. And when I say it goes straight up, I mean it does not lose speed and fall back. It will go out of sight.

Stock out of the box, Dynam Me262's have been clocked at 110 mph in level flight.

                        Avantis outrun them.

My Freewing F-5 80mm with 80A ESC gets to 100 as well. Would not surprise me to see the FlexJet get to 100 too.

Mine is ready for maiden tomorrow "if" the wind shift and slow down forecast is accurate. The Aura might make it easier in unfriendly winds but I'd rather perform the maiden in at least "decent" conditions.

Six flights on mine today and I'm kicking the older of my 2 Avanti's to the curb :D I brought it along today "just in case" but never even took it out of the van until a potential buyer wanted to look it over. (He plans to take delivery next Saturday)
Sadly, when I'm flying I can't shoot video with my good camera. Did shoot a couple with my hat cam though. Guess it beats no video at all.
2nd trim flight captured here. I had to put a lot of right trim in mine on the maiden. Took the manual with me so ran the quick trim function on the flight controller. Still had to run it again after this flight as it still needed a little right trim.

My 3rd flight of the day. Still needed just a touch more right trim but was good after this time.

Jamie, one of the other club members, showed up with a new FlexJet today as well. So I broke out my handheld and shot video of his maiden. His needed a lot of right trim, same as mine.

Borrowed this from the RC Groups thread for those that don't frequent there. A little information on the flying stab installation.

Ring 'er out and show us a vid please. Love your video reviews.
Ours still have not shipped from eastern Canada. They likely got shipped from Flex Inno at the same time that their private customers got shipped theirs. We were told they might ship this week but customs could delay a wholesale shipment longer than a private shipment. Maybe next week.

Six more flights for mine today. Finally getting the knife edge figured out. It does not need a lot of rudder input to hold it and that's where I had been going wrong. I had been trying to fly it like the Avanti.
I saw where Bajora put in six flights on his today over at RC Groups and he's supposed to be adding some media after he has a chance to look through it.

So are you’ saying, if you were only allowed one sport plane, you’’d take this over an Avanti or are they a lot different in their mission and you’d have to keep both?

One of our other club members now owns my 150+ flight Avanti if that tells you anything. (I have problems with storage space) This one makes it so easy to do so many things and I like the profile of this one better since it has the looks of a warbird.
If you start your take off roll holding full elevator and ease slowly into the throttle this one will take off like a big turbine model. Front wheel lifts and as you continue to increase throttle the whole model follows in a nice "scale" takeoff. Landings are just as sweet as it will carry the nose wheel for as long as you want to hold up elevator and keep the speed sufficient to maintain the lift.
