thank you viper I appreciate the input. The stock wheels are just so frickin hard. There’s no absorption there at all. Due to the difficulty of swapping out the axels, I think I’m just gonna fly it as is,

I think you are over-reacting with regards to the wheels. What is it about the stock wheels that make you want to change them? A few planes I've owned has a bounce problem on landing. This is not one of them. Totally stock, this is one of the best and smoothest landing aircraft of everything I fly. I and another club member got the HobbyKing Avios S. Tucano. I had it first and it was on my recommendation that he also get the S. Tucano. He was delighted with it and asked what plane he should get next that would fly and land as well as the S.T. I told him to get the B-25.Originally posted by jackdcannon View PostEvan and Lb thank you for the tips. I just swapped out my Corsair wheels and axels but the retracts were already out. I hadn’t seen your tips yet so I went at it without heat… I really had to whack it hard with a hammer and punch to get it out. How rough are the landings with the stock wheels? Am I overthinking the importance of swapping the wheels?

Good point about two but the B-25 has just one. Heat is your best bet. If you are replacing the wheels just get a micro torch and heat the bottom leg up and tap out the axle. If you need to save the wheel it's harder and I usually use a soldering iron.

You might check that there isn't another 'grub screw' in the same location.
I have had retracts where 2 screws are used in the same hole.
Also, try using a little flame torch or similar to heat the aluminum strut.

Trying to swap out the wheels with the du bro 3&1/4” (83mm) low bounce treaded wheels. Axel shaft is 5/32” (4mm). Problem is that after removing the grub screw from the bottom of the strut, I couldn’t remove the stock axel and wheel. I tried some gentle prying with a small flat head…nothing. Even tried tapping it with a center punch and small hammer… nothing. Anyone else run into this issue. TIA

She will email i to you upon request.Originally posted by jackdcannon View PostLB I appreciate all of your posts and mods….if your opinion is the only real decision to be made is choosing the livery, well that’s good enough for me! Tip: air brush clear satin water based polyurethane on the nomenclature stickers to improve appearance.

Contemplating buying the B-25, but won’t for now if I must use the 6S 5000 battery.
Thanks!

In response to your inquiry, I just dropped an old RT 6250 into battery bay and as you can see, it fits fine.
The hatch fits flush as it should, as well.

Not a problem, Sir.
Figured you had found one somewhere, so I didn't follow up.
Let me know if I can assist with anything else.
