Clever idea to have desert oriented structures. They'll fit many eras and are a great fit for our Southern California environment. -

Wow...that's really over the top. WTH is going on with YouTube? Just created an account on Rumble. I know YouTube has all the people now, but it seems like they just keep banning more and more content everyday.
Welcome to the club. I have had stuff pulled because the offending material had scenes from an IR tank battle with red lights flashing for hits. "Removed for Violent Content". But it's OK to post all the video game "screen recordings" of combat and killing all you want.
It only takes one person complaining that their feelings were offended and poof you material is gone, except if its footage from a video game.Leave a comment:

YT has started removing some of my tank videos, a Panther and a PzKpfw 1 so far. I'm guessing it's the iron cross decal that triggered the so smart AI. Any suggestions on where to post future historical models of nasty tanky videos that won't offend someone? (If you don't like it, don't look, I always say.)

After just over a week of work, my new Bulldog is put together, repainted and weathered. Now she's ready to go. I know that the American Army never actually ran the Bulldog in any war, I still went with the American motif anyways. To make it my own, I added the sandbags and the stripes on the barrel.

All those $6.00 a day disposable workers and that's only one line of production. I always love how they have no safety equipment. The guy is test firing the airsoft unit, points it at another worker then fires in past her into a back stop area and neither have any eye protection on. OSHA would loose their minds walking through most Chinese factories.Something to look at; a short YT video clip showing “how our sausages are made”.
How’d you like to spend your work day like this?Leave a comment:

Looks good, R! Your khaki drab is a perfect fit for Southern California brush. I'm not satisfied with my results, so experiment terminated.Leave a comment:

I learned something at last Sunday's San Diego battle evet. We had many tanks this time, and spread out over a huge field with a lot of flora. This made it difficult to spot other tanks, since one's head had to be on a swivel. I saw the value of camouflage, something that isn't so important at a small confined field, or with fewer tanks.
So I'm going to try something. I have some tan netting which I draped over my Heng Long M1Abrams. I made tiny L-hooks to attach them, and I sprayed some light brown patches. It remains to be seen if it will be effective at our clay field, but I've seen pictures of real tanks in the mideast with this treatment. I'll be tinkering with this over time. Some considerations are important; the netting has to be away from the wheels, the turret has to rotate without catching the netting, and there will be inevitable snags as it maneuvers. Of course, if some gets torn off, there's more where that came from! Hopefully as time goes by the netting will start to drape

The movie "Tanks For Stalin" depicts two prototype T-34/76's being driven to Moscow for a demo. Here's my interpretation.
An early T34/76, showing headlight and spot light placement.
A screen capture from the movie showing their spotlight.
A couple of head-on shots of my tank. I relocated and added headlights, and added the spotlight.
The drum style gas tanks were removed in favor of the early side fuel tanks.
The turret and side tanks were 3D Printed by JVM3DConcepts from a Cults3D file.Leave a comment:
