Off to the field this morning. Hazy with all the smoke blowing around and thermally as well. Blue and silver airplanes, not the best choice for this kind of day! My BBD is still one of the finest flying airplanes in the fleet and the Bearcat is outstanding.

Installed the 12 blade inrunner and RC Geek burners as well. Took over a month, although I was also repainting the Mig at the same time to save on paint barn downtime (yes, my garage). Had different aircraft parts in different stages of completion all over the house for almost a month (my CO finally told me either the place gets cleaned up or I'm gone baby gone!). Half way through this project I had a feeling it was going to turn out like crap, but now that this one is finished, I'm actually quite happy with the final product. Same with the Mig, but that's a story for later after I finish the electronics/upgrades. This one should be very visible in the air! Got both of them a couple days before the May 15th price increase and saved a bundle (at least that's what I told my wife, that I wasn't actually spending money, I was saving it-as if she hasn't used that logic on me before).

Thanks a ton, James! I hope it inspires others to get a Freewing F-14, and have fun making it their own. It’s an excellent flying jet, a unique RC aircraft, and I had a lot of fun turning it into a F-14A instead of the D-variant. Many of the STL files that I made I have uploaded to Thingiverse for others to enjoy. Hopefully you get a chance to get a Freewing F-14 on your workbench for the channel. I think people would have fun seeing video footage of it.

What did you use for the nose gear? Did you just modify the existing or swap out the whole unit?
Thanks SanExup. front and mains are Freewing servos but with different oleos from HK and Bangood respectively so that I could get the knee bend action which is better for our grass field. The paint job is just diy store sample colour pots brush applied and peel and stick matt white signwriters vinyl sheet painted to match and cut into strips then cut into squares and applied to taste !!!. Its not a perfect finish but when it passes you at 90mph plus you dont really notice !
