Yup, that's the new Mig-17. I thought it was a Sabre but someone already started a thread about it:
https://www.hobbysquawk.com/forum/rc...w-avios-mig-17
You can see it clearly in the poster.
Oh, I almost had a heart palpitation when you said "Panther". Glad it's the Mig. My bank account can't take anymore at the moment. Now, if someone brought out a quality Vulcan bomber with maybe twin or even quad EDF, I may have to get a loan.

Yea me too. I would have had to buy one of them Panthers, I'd buy a Cougar too to be honest. But a Mig 17, Meh never liked those commy planes too much. But I might just get one to reward HK for thinking outside of the box. LOLOriginally posted by xviper View PostYup, that's the new Mig-17. I thought it was either a Sabre or MiG because it didn't have "bingo wings" like the Panther and Cougar. And a twin 64 mm Vulcan would be nice too, but I'd prefer the original anti-flash white because there's too much green where I fly.Originally posted by xviper View PostYup, that's the new Mig-17. As a Canuck, with no planes worth anything ever built; I shouldn't have an opinion about anyone's aircraft, but, Russian planes always remind me of flying "Chewing Gum Packages"...This livery looks like a Dentyne gum package and so do their red ones. American planes are the best looking, bar none....

That Canadian FA-18 posted in the Freewing 90mm F/A-18 C topic, though, is a sharp-looking paint scheme.Originally posted by AirHead View PostAs a Canuck, with no planes worth anything ever built; I shouldn't have an opinion about anyone's aircraft, but, Russian planes always remind me of flying "Chewing Gum Packages"...This livery looks like a Dentyne gum package and so do their red ones. I beg to differ. You had the CF-100 which was good during it's time, and a potential history maker with the Arrow. Canada's problem wasn't the planes, it was the politicians, a disease you seemed to inherit from the UK.Originally posted by AirHead View PostAs a Canuck, with no planes worth anything ever built; I shouldn't have an opinion about anyone's aircraft, but, Russian planes always remind me of flying "Chewing Gum Packages"...This livery looks like a Dentyne gum package and so do their red ones. You're right about the politicians. It was Dum-dum Diefenbaker who put the kybosh on the Arrow, which was way ahead of its time. Some guys here are trying to build a scaled down version at the small airfield just outside of the city.Originally posted by Valkpilot View Post

Not that we have much room to feel superior in regards to politicians here in the US, either.Originally posted by Valkpilot View Post

(And that isn't a Party-specific observation, either)

He didn't just cancel the plane, he had it wiped from existence by ordering EVERYTHING related to the project destroyed. An the UK did the same thing with TSR.Originally posted by xviper View PostYou're right about the politicians. I guess we've exhausted all the "political" and "geopolitical" ramifications of the world and it's poor old airplane debauchery! As I have witnessed; America; maybe Britain and maybe Germany; have produced the best planes of all time and..." it is what it is!" Nothing can be fixed and everything that is broken is a lesson in "stupid human interference". Every engineer; technician; electrician; electronics person; metalworker; designer; mechanic; engine specialist; pilot; scientist; aeronautics person and inventor; has to beat themselves to a pulp only to let the "hierarchy" make the last decision which is the worst one of them all!.....Bloody Morons!!!!Originally posted by Valkpilot View Post

Politicions and those in charge are like diapers, they need to be changed frequently and for the same reason.Originally posted by AirHead View Post
