  • I think that the Typhoon or the Sea Fury or the Tempest in 1600 mm would be something different that would certainly appeal to me. We have slightly less than a year 'til the 80th anniversary, it would sure be great to see a kit commemorating the event.

        • I’d buy either a Harrier or F35 if they did VTO.

          • I'd buy a Freewing quality Hawker Hunter in 70, 80 or 90mm size. There are models out there now from other sources, but they are poorly engineered.

            • A Harrier would be incredible, especially VTOL obviously.

              • Hey All,

This guy has been designing, 3DP printing, and building VTOl Harriers and F-35s.

His build series is quite entertaining at least to me and the tech is worth the watch.

I, too, would like to see FreeWing do a full blown F-35.

I would think the cost would be up there, but what a great project.

F-35 is a splendid idea! We recently got to watch up close a F-35A make four low approaches to our airport in Cody, WY. The pilot (USAF) is based out of Hill AFB, UT, and is a demonstrator pilot on this aircraft. I had never seen one in person before, but it was totally cool! I'll include a few pics I took right off the approach end of runway 04 at YRA field in Cody.

I'd go for any version (A,B, or C) as they would all be very cool!

                  Cheers

                  • Future Products? Hmmm

Still would like a 1600mm+ P-51 B with the Malcolm Hood represented.

Could be offered like the Corsair, maybe, with a "D" version both in Super Scale.

Probably would be pricey, but there ya go.

Also, a 2000mm Lockheed Constellation would be cool.

Still think it's as beautiful an airframe as the Spitfire, just for different reasons.

Agreed! As we see here it can be done. Now price point on the other hand??

                            • Prices keep rising. 90’s are now $650. I’d say a nice “90” or F-22 sized VTOL would be $900 or so. I’d pay it.

                              • I would too. I just wish the F-22 was VTOL since it is a way better looking jet than the F-35.

                                • The F-22 needed to come with thrust vectoring.

I think the Harrier looks better than either of those. The vertical stabs on the F-22 look like they were stuck on as an afterthought.

                                          Appearances can be quite deceiving.

Without going into details, you can be sure that the size of the vertical tails on the F-22 (and the YF-22) are the size and shape needed as a result of extensive testing.
