        • Latest update. The High School robotics/3D class is printing the 600 gal centerline fuel tank and mounts plus both front/rear ladders for cockpit. Should have these end of the month. This project will pick up in a week or so.

                      • Managed to get the maiden done before the snow.
6S High Performance motor and fan.

                        Nice flying jet.

I'm looking for a suitable model for the Real Flight simulator, any suggestions?

How nice would it be if Motion or Freewing provided accurate simulator models.

                        • Elbee,
Working the wing fuel tanks. On the photos you sent you had this panel outlined. Was it protruding on the side of the tank for support? I have taped a strip to see if this is correct.
                          Don't mind the bananas

                          • jetfool.

I did not design that tank, but I checked one of my tanks and I have the same line.

I will email the correct file from apmech1 that he designed and I printed all those years ago.

It has the pylon that attaches to the Phantom Phuseage using Motion RC style mounting.

All sounds a bit contrived, but it all works.

Let me now if you have trouble with the STL.

                            • Another question I have.
1 - What is the best way to paint the yellow strips on the ejection handles?

2 - Does the half round pin fit into the nose gear sleeve and able to rotate as the strut retracts?

3 - The shroud on front top of fin, can't grasp how it fits?

                              Best Regards, Rex

Working on finishing adding my 3d parts. Slow but steady process, trying not to mess up.
Came up to take a break with the wife and sit by the fire, 11 degrees out so we are eating ice cream, go figure!
2 months till Toledo so back to the skunk works.

                                  • Using my 1/48 F-4 plastic kit for reference lo and behold the fuel tanks have the strip bulge on them. DUH! Now I can add these in the proper position.

                                    • Taking a saw and knife I cut into a new airplane. Fitting a 3d printed avionics housing in the upper tail. Used lite-weight body filler I have roughly shaped. Need to check photos to finalize.
