  • Yes. The instrument panels, front and sides were also flat black.

    • Evan D,
So, I need to paint the inside tub flat black, not light grey?
Evan your experience is very helpful. Any suggestions would be great. Although the scale panels fit the cockpit they don't have a lot of correct details on them. I'm trying to make it as presentable as possible. Thanks for your input.

      • I think the walls of the cock pit and floors were gray.

Looking at pictures on line I think I was wrong, all the instruments on the front panel were black but the panel is gray. On the sides they control panels covered the mounting almost 100% but I think it was gray under them too.

        • Evan D,
Very helpful. I have the instrument panels grey and the dials flat black. Does this look more familiar to you? These are pics I using.

              • jetfool,

                As stated Interior is Gray.

Panels for switches, buttons, and breakers are Black as are all the IP instruments.

                  • Computer crashed. Had it fixed and ready to go.
Lots of messy wet sanding going on. Not much to show

                    • Elbee,
Reduced your cockpit pics to fit the inst. panels, they lined up perfect to the panel. Printed on photo paper and gives a good visual view even though the instruments are small.

That was my solution. The IP's and consoles are quite small in this jet. My expertise with 3DP was just not good enough at the time to try to detail all that with a satisfactory result. Even now, at this scale there wouldn't be much to see much like the B-25, it is there but you just can't see it. Best, LB

                    • Look what arrived in the mail today. Parts out of the box including little bitty mirrors and grab handles. Cable tow hooks for launching off the carrier. First clean-up of the 3d trees from parts, very fragile to handle. Looks like fitting everything will require a lot of sanding to fit. Have to burn the midnight hours to get this correct.
Thanks for the 3D parts my friend.

                      Best Regards, Rex

                        • Evan D,
Yes, the frames are nice, but some elbow sanding will be required to get everything fitted to the cockpit. Have a few questions for Chris Wolfe and waiting to hear back.

                          • Guys, After several hours of sanding the canopies are fitting together well. Still more fine sanding to do before primer. also need to make the pins that hold the frame so they can open and close.
                            Best Regards, Rex

                              • Canopy is getting better. Had to use the heat gun to form the canopy sides to fit the foam cockpit tub. Not hard just have to watch the heat so it doesn't deform the bows. Starting at the back and working forward.

Had our indoor fly today and the robotics class finished printing the 600 gal center fuel tank, Its pretty big. They forgot the fus. mount but will have it done Friday

                                    • Moved on to the Centerline tank, Need to think some on the canopies. Glued tank together and filled the small seams. Primered the center seam and will put panel line tape at the others. Need to figure out the fuel cap position and make. Plan to spray the red teeth on the nose cap tonight. Always something to do. weighed the tank and it's over 1/2 #. Won't fly with it but will use for the static display. Wish it was lighter so one could fly with it. Hint, Hint Elbee
