OK so let the guessing game begin again. What clues do we have so far for project Foil.

1. Alphas History:
   • Military Campaigns and Pilots
   • Alphas prior hints / clues, pattern
   • Likes Military, History and Literature?
2. Foil to be in 2018
3. Foil is an EDF
4. Hoot was Fast but Foil is Faster
5. Cloud Atlas:
   • Book Reference
   • Movie Reference
   • Breaking Bad Episode
6. Ozymandias:
   • Poem Meaning and references
   • King of Kings
   • Egypt
7. Foil Definitions:
   • To prevent (something considered wrong or undesirable) from succeeding.
   • The track or scent of a hunted animal. (Maybe - Radar tracking?)
   • A light fencing sword without cutting edges but with a button on its point. (Na to obvious.)
8. Ruled out:
   • Alpha Post #552 - Not an SR-71 Black bird and not a Foxbat

Cannot find post where alpha referenced foil was not done in foam before.

Alpha also talked about it not being Black, and must able to sell to recover development costs. (That's a lot of carrots) So nothing too off the path from current and must compliment the MRC lineup I would think.

The given clues for Project Foil wouldn't really fit with that bird, but it's an interesting choice.

Do we have a list of verified clues somewhere? I keep seeing stuff like "Alpha said it is a plane they have done before" then I hear "Alpha said this has never been modeled in foam before."

Can we put together a list of verified clues and where Alpha (or other MRC employees) have stated them?

I believe one of Alphas clues was that it is a super cool plane that will be loved by the masses.

If it HAS to big a MiG, it should be THIS ONE!

Maybe Alpha has hooked up with that dude in Europe who has been working on the VTOL system for a version of the F35. That would be a cool offering; but the VTOL aspect would be a "battery hog". It would be a great thing to master the transition from hover to full flight....

+1! In Eu the F22 or F35 isnt cool particularly xD. The Viggen is cool, I guess we love canards (Eurofighter ejem..). But then I have never feel attracted to buying the Eurofigher frankly.
Depending on size and scheme yep I could do with a F100 :D.
I see that we all have different tastes and we all wish for a particular plane, eventually its going to be what its got to be, wonder if we all are going to like it or not.

Ya know mate, I actually think a Viggen would be cool. I would most likely get one. I watched the video of that guy that scratch built one, Pretty amazing flyer, got my attention. Unfortunately I have no idea how fast a Viggen is. I'll have to look that up. But I do think it would be a cool plane, and a super cool flyer. So if it were one of those I'd be good. Yes our tastes vary, but I think yours and mine are more alike than not. Ya know Alpha is good! Funny thing he actually liked one my most inexpensive and favorite models. Surprised me actually.

Different strokes for different folks... What you find super cool I do not and vise versa. In the grand scheme of things most of us will likely get what we want. It is really just a matter of time. Three of my favorite aircraft have already been created, another one will never be created unless materials or processes change. Oh well.... everything else is just icing on the cake.

I do agree with ya T-CAT, if it's never been done in any kind of foam, it rules out a lot of stuff I like, : (. But I don't think it would rule out a Mig 25, which as much as I'm not a fan of Russian Jets, would probably purchase. Especially if it was done up in the livery of the one that defected to Japan. Oh yea, I would have that plane for sure.

LOL! I would like clarification too on the guessing of foil regarding whether it has never been done in foam or never been done in foam of a specific size. Once we get that, maybe it will open some doors on guessing and hoping for my wishlist of a F-22, Mig-29, and F-18C. All those have been done in foam, just not in sizes I want. LOL
