The accusation made above is based on incorrect and incomplete knowledge and information.Originally posted by hhamzeh View Post
I am not sure about that. RC-Castle has notified its costumers that FreeWing has received at least two reports of reversed rudder gyro direction asking them to check for correct gyro directions before flying the plane. If there are 2 reports at this time, likely there are more. As mentioned by someone before, unfortunately a programming card is required to fix this for those who may have this issue.
This is not really a huge issue but not officially notifying customers on MRC page may cause more financial damage to the company.
My 2 cents.
We are not worried about the planes we sent out. There were two planes that may have had a rudder issue and those were from the 3rd production batch. The planes produced in the third production batch went to the Chinese market. Our batches are not part of this third batch. As I said, no issues have have been reported from our batches. All that said, should anyone check to make sure the gyro is correcting control surfaces in the right direction? Of course. This is part of standard pre-flight testing in any plane that has a gyro.

BTW, the second shipment of Cougars is running slightly ahead of schedule. They are currently on a train to Chicago.
Any update on where that train is at ??

Motion and Free Wing get Two thumbs up and a standing Ovation For the great design of this F9F-8 Cougar, Test flew mine this morning.
All I have to say is WOW !!! I set everything by the book, set the CG exactly on the marks adjusted all control services, the 3mm down at the out side tip of the elevator was spot on for level flight no adjustment necessary landings are very perdictable and slower then I thought they would be. The E52 6 Axis Gyro works great both flights were rock solid. Speed is more scale and the sound is awesome with the 12 bladed fan. Here is a short Vid. My Go Pro froze up just less two minutes into the video. I have just corrected my mistake on the video it is now visible. At 70 I guess I am getting a a little forgetful if I do not keep up LOL !!! https://youtu.be/f87nQOA_F9Q

Yes, ARF+ arriving tomorrow as well.Originally posted by Cape Jets View Post
Are the ARF Plus versions in that shipment as well? Thx
Wild Man, your video is set to private so we can't see it. Also, thanks for the compliment. We have a really great team here who are really helping bring all of these new products together. Freewing has also been knocking it out of the park. Wait until you see what's next.....

I am flying mine with the Admiral Carbon 70c 5100mm The CG comes out on the nose, at 106mm right on the CG marks on the foam with the battery 1" back from the front of the Canopy Hatch opening, gear down right side up or inverted. I am using a Spektrum AR 8360T reciever After assembly and radio setup I checked the direction of the gyro correction of derection rudder, aileron, and elevator Checked out OK. With the elevator set as per the manual with the elevator half's centered at the fuse the elevator trim was right on with the outside tips of the elevators 3mm down from the center of the horizontal fin as shown in the photo in the manual. This one has become one of my Favorite's. The Sound is a lot different also, great sounding new 12 Bladed EDF
