Maiden the cougar today, had 3 flights on a 5000mah and 1 on a 4000mah with timer set @ 4min just to be on the safe side, should be able to set to 4:30, all throws and balance were set to book settings. Take off flight and landing were very nice and smooth and gyro work good, after my first flight I thought the elevator and ailerons had just a tad bit too much throw so I back the servo travel down 10% flew much more scale like!
Now my only issue is that when I go to fly I turn on my transmitter and plug the flight battery in and the Esc is not connecting correctly, everything will connect all servos and control surfaces work but I have no throttle, I have to unplug and plug back in 5 times on my last flight then the esc finally kicked in got the six beeps.
and flew great! Guys at the field suggestion was to contact Motion RC!1 Photo

maiden and second flight today, gps on second flight was 130mph from very shallow dive, couldn't use flaps as one of the hold clips on the servo arm of a flap was missing for some reason so we taped it up and didnt use them

So how do work around the wing connection board and the ribbon connection wire? If I could just do the flap wire that would be good. Haven't figured out how to do that.Originally posted by big red mig View PostUse a receiver with enough channels so u can have separate channel for each flap and in that way you can match up the flaps

Ok need some advice! I did the calibration yesterday, today brought the plane to fly plugged first battery in and nothing! Unplug twice, plugged back in and I got my six beeps, proceeded to fly, about 2 min in the motor started to cut out (scary) managed too land taxi back to me and while holding the I ran up the throttle! Yep! It was cutting out on the ground too! Got on the bench put a new battery in plugged in and no problem! Flew two more flights,Originally posted by StevenR View PostYes I did a esc calibration initially but I did have to swap two wires to get the fan to run the correct direction, so I did calibrate again. Still wasn’t working so I did move the throttle trim all the way down and calibrate again! I think it’s working but I’ll check again tomorrow!
I’m using a yellow 10ch receiver which I purchased from Motion RC ! Could that be causing my problem? Or is it the esc?

So after about a half hour on the phone with Motion RC tech support we found the problem to be from the new yellow receiver for some reason was causing the esc to not arm sometimes, swapped it out with a spektrum 6ch receiver to test and it worked fine, plugged and unplugged about 20 times and never had an issue.Originally posted by StevenR View Post
